Story

A very warm welcome to The Kaye Arms in Grange Moor, West Yorkshire. Just a short drive from Wakefield, Huddersfield or Barnsley this country pub and restaurant was originally owned by the Kaye family. The building is steeped in history and over the last forty years has gained a reputation for fantastic food and drink. The Kaye Arms maintains a commitment to serving the best quality, locally sourced produce whilst adding a contemporary twist. Having recently undergone a full refurbishment, the ‘new look’ Kaye Arms will continue to provide great quality food and service, accessibilty to all.

Absolute super lunch yesterday. Even though they were rather busy the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. They have a specials menu where you can have two main courses for £16. Super value. The Sea bass was delicious. We opted for a sticky toffee pudding and Eaton Mess for dessert, which were both delicious. If you prefer lighter lunches they also offer a large range of sandwiches and a vegan menu too. The bar area to the left is also dog friendly. Well worth a visit.

Great food and dined for 16 quid for 2 main meals. Lovely atmosphere. Plenty of parking snd fab views of the countryside !
The food was a 5*, very tasty, immaculately presented, hot, large portions and catered to my dietary requirements without hesitation. The restaurant is clean and a nice place to eat; a charming, rustic atmosphere. The only reason for 4* is a female younger member of staff was a bit off, a smile wouldn’t go amiss and the service was slower than we have experienced elsewhere and we generally eat out most Sundays with friends. Two of the desserts had inadvertently gone to the wrong table but they did apologise and were knocked off the bill which was appreciated. We will be back to try it again, we hope the slower service was just due to higher than expected service levels at peak time and new members of staff who were getting the hang of things. I would recommend this restaurant/pub and we will return as the food was incredible and the other staff were lovely.
Went for my birthday. Its the 1st time I'd been, even though I drive past it everyday. I had probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. My party if 5 all loved ever aspect of the evening meal we had. We definitely go again.
Really enjoyed this place first time back in a long time delicious food for me and really good value and first class quality grub tried the Pork Escallope with stir fried vegetables in hoi sin sauce with a chorizo crumble and my Mrs had a Chicken Shish Kebab with thick Chips and Garlic Mayonnaise with Salad then we shared a Chocolate Tart with Banana Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce with caramel pop corn delicious
Great reception by staff. Delicious food well cooked and presentation. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere, comfortable and wasn't too busy for a Wednesday. 2 meals for £16. Great value.
Love this place, great food and friendly staff. The 2 dine steak is an absolute bargain and delicious too. I like mine rare and rump can be tough - it was really tender, all fat trimmed off.
Had family lunch here today and it was absolutely superb. The menu was varied and had “usual” pub classics on like fish and chips, homemade pie of the day etc but also some more adventurous dishes like the sticky teriyaki belly pork which my dad had and loved it. The service was spot on, faultless, polite, friendly, really welcoming. Food was all freshly cooked but we were not waiting a daft amount of time. It was served piping hot, everything perfect with our orders, and the portions were really generous. At £16 for two main meals it’s amazing value. Thankyou.
Had a delicious midweek meal. Fantastic value offer. 2 mains for £18 for food of top quality. Friendly staff and great service. We'll definitely be back
