My partner and I have been with this GP for 3 years and now leaving London so will be changing practice. We have overall had a surprisingly good experience with The Junction Health Centre - the best I have experienced with any practice, in my opinion. Most of the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. They have taken measures to help me with my habit of fainting during blood tests by taking me to a cooler room where I can lie down during procedure and given me plenty of time to rest before getting up. Generally, wait times aren’t as long as I’ve experienced at other practices and they don’t seem to run late as often. Today my partner saw Zsuzsanna, a medical student, who was extremely thorough and kind. My partner felt very well looked after and comfortable with Zsuzsanna! I’ve only had a couple of bad experiences with staff there in the past few years - one nurse was very dismissive, neglectful and brought me to tears and others have been some rude receptionists. Bearing in mind I’ve had A LOT of appointments in the past 3 years… those small amount of bad experiences have been rare. I have found the availability of weekend out of hours appointments brilliant and the staff that work during the weekend have always been 10/10! Overall, I really do recommend this practice! Thanks to everyone who have helped us both in the past few years!
Have had a few really poor experiences. Made to wait over an hour on various occasions when I’ve booked an appointment. Also, I came in for an appointment, had some tests, and then never heard back for any follow-up steps. The staff are very nice, but the establishment just seems abit careless and lazy.
Helena was really lovely, she helped me a lot with my appointments and get register properly, as the first appointment I made through phone call didn’t get through for some reason. Great costumer service!
Called 111 for an infection on bank holiday Monday as no doctors were ope and got seen here within 30 minutes. The female doctor was lovely and really swift in helping me, very grateful
The Reception staff are genuinely interested, efficient and helpful. Dr Hillson has restored my faith in the medical profession after some unsettling experiences in the past - she is thorough, perceptive, proactive and incredibly kind. A five-star NHS experience.
Only just joined. So far not receiving adequate care. My previous doctors provided a care package for how to support me as I have a invisible disability, they haven’t followed up on any of the requests that were made. I got told that I had 223 entries made last year at my previous doctors, so they can’t read through them all. Despite this, they still haven’t followed up on the condensed care package that was provided from my previous doctors. All I have been offered is waiting lists with no timelines, the only timeline I have had confirmed is 8 months because I followed up directly so far for complex needs that can be life threatening. I was also patronised today from lead doctor at the practice when I explained one of my Trauma responses, when I called her out and explained I didn’t like being spoken to like that, she flipped it and gaslit me, and started saying that she didn’t like the way I was talking about other healthcare professionals earlier on in the call I said I didn’t wish to use crisis teams in a state of emergency because in the past I have been provided with inadequate care. Either she took it personally why? or would simply rather gaslight than apologise when speaking to someone disrespectfully. This surgery also does not provide mental Health support / occupational therapy which was offered from my previous doctors to ensure the disabled / mental health community stay in work. When I enquired about whether this was a service that could be offered, again I was just met with defensiveness “I have worked in this industry for 17 years and never seen a service like that offered at a surgery,” well they do… also London based. I will change my review if the service improves but so far I’m very disappointed compared to my surgery before. I only left due to housing relocation and it was too far out.
My mum died four days after being the AstraZeneca vaccine here. Inquest confirmed. I will be looking into who the individual was that gave her this poison
I've been going to the Junction health centre for years and am always so impressed with this service. I can always get through on the phone without a long wait and am able to book in for an appointment with ease. Dr J in particular is utterly fabulous. He is a very kind, attentive and thoughtful professional - always wanting to understand the bigger picture. Thank you for all your help, it makes such a difference.
I have been registered with this branch for over 5 years, and gotta say it has improved alot over the years! Especially the reception team, they are so much nicer! Maria is my favourite! Always there to help and very friendly and polite.
Great experience at reception of Junction Health Centre. Helena was very helpful and explained my tests kindly to me while also arranging further appointments for me. Very positive experience overall.
