I know it's fashionable to write bad reviews of our GP practices, but I have nothing but good words to say about this practice. Of course it depends who you get but the gentleman I've been seeing the last few times has been absolutely exceptional and I'm very grateful for the care. And the practise itself is easily accessible, it's in a good location and yes you have to wait on the line to get an appointment but you do get an appointment or you get a phone call back which can be really useful as well and often sufficient for many things. So I,  for one, I'm very very grateful to everyone at the practise for the care. Thank you.
I am registered with this GP surgery for over 30 years and I never had any bad experience, recently I received from the surgery a digital letter, explained the staff member resigning because of the abuse from the patients, this is not right at all. I witness in May how a woman patient she was abusing and demanded to see the doctor,, her behaviour was uneceptable, I had to intervene and tell her to stop abusing and bullying the staff They informing me they will impose "0"tolerance to the patients who are abusing or bullying the staff. I am glad the surgery taking action
Doctors good, booking and reception awful. Tried to phone for an appointment and on hold in the queue for 30mins to finally reach no.1 then no one answers. So hang up and go to the flashy new building where reception is now behind a glass barrier that prevents anyone from being heard properly. A slovenly dressed guy slouched in a chair mumbles something about having to call on the day and refuses to admit that the phone sevice is not working properly with no message to say appointments full. I need stitches removing so he books me in for a couple of days ahead- great, but I also need some antibiotics and he says for that I need to speak to a doctor. So can he book me in- no, he says i have to phone up. This after I have just told him that no one is answering.... so I ask for the manager and try to get it sorted out. But the only way to get an appointment is to phone in the morning. So I leave- and try to phone again and funilly enough there is now a message saying appointments are all booked.....shiny new building but pretty average experience!
I registered with this GP purely because it was closest to me but I've had a great experience since. I have contacted them about two separate issues I had and both were dealt with clearly and urgently, I felt like all the doctors and staff had my best interest at heart and very very kind and helpful. I'm always contacted very quickly for my appointments and it's easy to contact them too. I've had bad experiences with doctors and health related things before so avoid contacting them, but Newton Medical Centre has been very helpful on every occasion.
Doctors are good but it’s impossible to book an appointment. Been trying over a week. Very disappointed.
The very best surgery EVER... Personally I have never had form of ill treatment nor disrespect from the staff on reception. I have always found them extremely helpful and courteous As for the Doctors and nurses...I would rate them all highly. They demonstrate compassion and empathy and they do not hesitate in referring you on to other services . I intend to remain with this practice till day I transition from this universe
Great GP, always able to get an appointment whether for myself, my wife or my daughter. Always very helpful. Best GP I have come across.
Excellent service. As any other GP, it can be difficult to get an appointment but they make sure to at least give a phone call appointment and bring you in as needed which is excellent.
I’ve been a patient at this practice for more than a year and never had any major issues or complains. Almost every time I called or reached out I managed to get the same or the next day appointment. During my last visit I saw Dr Boggis. Doctor was really attentive and sensible about my issues.
This is my closest GP so didn't really have much choice. Its very difficult to get in touch with them as the waiting time to phone them is atleast 30 minutes wait until you get to speak to someone. I've also gotten hung up a couple of times, very unprofessional. They have also turned off online booking services/repeat medications so the only way is to call them. One time i called 12:50pm and i was no 1 in the queue, the phone rang for 9 minutes and someone hung up. When i called back the machine said they were closed for lunch. Someone could've answered the phone but seems like they were just lazy!
