So whilst walking from Kessingland Beach Holiday Park to Lowestoft we came across this lovely contemporary pub and restaurant on the upper promenade overlooking the beach. We decided to stop here for a quick drink. The inside was very modern, clean and bright. The staff were very friendly. Having ordered our drinks we chose to sit in the good sized seating area to the front taking in the beautiful coastal views and making the most of the sun. The pub was dog friendly with plenty of fresh looking water bowls to hand. Whilst we did not eat, many people were. The portions looked good and the smell was lovely. The only random observation to point out was when entering the very clean ladies toilets, the door opened straight onto a wall, leaving a tight squeeze for some to get into the room. Overall.. lovely and clean with friendly staff and great views.. appeared very popular and yes, we would certainly return.
Large portions, fish cake, plaice and chicken were all tasty, can't even pick a favourite. Exceeded expectations of pub food, more like fine dining. Quick service too. Reasonable prices. One of best spots in Lowestoft.
Delicious fish and chips! And I don't usually like fish and chips! The fish was buttery and flakey and the chips were crispy but soft This was a local recommendation since I'm here for work and it was a 10/10! Beautiful views, nice and quiet, good food. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
I was recommended this by a local to lowestoft as a "must visit" especially for their fish. My expectations were met as I tasted the freshest fish so well cooked, not greasy, light skin and melt in mouth fish. The meal did not take long to cook and the service was great. Add to this the sea views and location and this truly is a winning combination of great food, and great location. Whilst it was quietish at lunch, be warned this is a popular venue so I am told and I can well believe it Lots of other great things on the menu but as a fish n chips fan the "catch of the day" was a must have. Top marks from me a foodie with an appetite.
Early evening walk to the beach decided to pop in for a bite to eat and a drink whilst taking in the coastal views. Lucky for us we got a table with a sea view just beautiful. Large windows frame the beach and coast alike. Food was very tasty and presented well. Great local pub offering great coastal views and serving local beers and home cooked food
Just had a drink so can't comment on food. Really nice and relaxing looking out to the sunset across the sea. Nice atmosphere.Highly recommendedService: 5/5
This is easily, for me, the BEST place to eat in lowestoft. Ok it's not that hard as there are very few options these days but I have never been disappointed when eating at this place. Booking a table in the restaurant is your best option however decent pub grub is available if your unable to book. There are daily specials up on the board which are always worth a punt and the kitchen are flexible, constructing whatever you like ad long as they have the ingredients. The service has always been top notch very polite, accommodating and friendly. The food itself is obviously cooked with care, compassion and love and it shines through starting with the quality of the ingredients, moving into the perfect way ot is cooked and the brilliant flavours it produces when eaten. It is one of the more pricier restaurants in lowestoft but again that's being compared to wetherspoons, spring tide and Hatfield eateries to name a few. I would choose this place to eat over any of those or others I have failed to mention. I enjoyed all the food I have eaten at this place and always left feeling satisfied, pleased and definitely wanting to return. I hope they carry on providing the service and products I have become used to in my short stay so far in this town.
Lovely local pub overlooking the beautiful Pakefield beach in lowestoft! Very busy at lunchtime and particularly the outdoor tables that overlook the beach. Great selection of food including some nice vegan/vegetarian options. Fast service with friendly and pleasant staff offering a decent selection of beers wines and spirits including some very nice local brews! Recommend
Lovely place for a bit to eat, right on the sea front with amazing views, clean & tidy very friendly and efficient staff and the food was fantastic and good value for money, will definitely eat here again
A nice place with good food. It is a little on the pricey side but the food is of good quality.
