I love this arcade the staff are so friendly and helpful there's always someone around if you need any assistance. My kids always win something from the 2p machines even with only spending a couple of £'s.
Great range of 2p machines and prizes if that is your thing. One criticism the place wasn't very clean we were there when it first opened and their was rubbish on the floors and on top of the machines.
The South Pier offers fish and chips, beer, arcade games, ice cream, and a classical Grecian statue. There are plenty of benches outside overlooking the North Sea, and many traditional seaside stalls can be found along the adjacent promenade.
We went on the beach it was absolutely beautiful. Lowestoft Beach is a credit to the council who looks after it and maintain it throughout the winter.
This Arcade is extremely crooked. Keymaster the key was fitting in the top prize for 3000 Tickets but would not pay it out. Ticket game Dizzy Chicken used to always be 20p play before Lockdown I went last year they upped it to 50p play I went there today they have now put £1 ago 1 credit it didn't even work when I put £1 in. You can play Dizzy Chicken in Leisure Land Cromer and Great yarmouth 20p play 800 Ticket Jackpot. The correct price and there prizes are much better. They have upped all the ticket games to a £1 a play its disgusting you go to other Arcades you play same machine alot cheaper. When I have redeemed my tickets I NEVER EVER go in 1 of there Arcades again. Avoid all there Arcades they rip you and your kids off there are much Fairer Arcades to spend your money with. Lowestoft. South Pier Portsmouth. Margate. Eastbourne.
Fantastic location. A real gem. Suitable for families with children and also the lone traveller.
A bit of old school fun on a cold day. Plenty of 2p tipping point style machines here some a little worse for wear but the kids liked them. The ticket ones seem to be the most popular with prizes to be won in exchange.
Went for the recent beer fest with my partner. Food a bit expensive but looks lovely since been done up and drinks a reasonable price. Great atmosphere
So good to see it back open. Being from Portsmouth I've seen the Pier in various states through my years. It's back up an running but not at it's best. The games hall inside the first bit of the pier is looking very shabby. I can however highly recommend the ice cream shop at the entrance.
