It is a nice place with nice staff and service. Brings a young student vibe. Can play pool and has decent music. Wide selection of beers and local ales. Would go again.Service: 5/5

Whether you're a regular visitor or a newcomer, you're treated with the same level of respect and attentiveness. I can't sing the praises of The Honest Politician enough. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pint or a game of pool, you'll find yourself enchanted by the charm of this remarkable establishment. I, for one, have fallen in love with it and can't wait to return again and again.
It's great that you can bring food from other establishments. There are big screens to watch sports matches, pool tables and darts. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and enough space for a wheelchair I'd say
Door staff rude and aggressive. I simply asked why I had to wait outside even though pub was empty but told ‘if you don’t like it **** off’..was threaten to be thrown ‘in the gutter’
Good place for a drink with friends, friendly staff and decent service. It does tend to get packed and loud towards end of the afternoon, more due to the pool tables wanting to be used by most of the people there but its good drinks and has a good range of spirits.Food: 4/5
Wow this pub is huge!! Front area has tables and a few TVs for sport etc but through the back is 6 pool tables and more TVs, really spacious and love the decor!
Went in for a couple of games of pool and a few drinks staff member came up to us being really rude went to the bar to get a drink got handed it in a plastic cup asking to leave ended up with her having a go at us and other staff member laughing behind her back like it was a joke. She then caused a massive fuss over nothing and asked us to leave. Will not be returning
Very approachable for students and mid 30s or 40s alike, big bar so very accessible. Big tables so can have large groups and opportunities to play darts, pool and table football. Lots of sport played but a welcoming atmosphere
Always a fun place to go if you are a student. The darts and pool table always a good time and the pricing for drinks is reasonable. Good for societies doing pub crawls or friends just looking for a pub to hang out!
AMAZING! Mon-Thu free pool but it is busy and could be waiting a while for a pool table. However there are quite a few pool tables. Darts are available too with a fully refundable deposit of £10. Drinks are reasonably priced, with even special offers like 4 shots for £10 and 4 VKs for £10. I definitely recommend coming here with friends. Perfect uni student spot.
