We moved here from South Africa recently and I do not yet have pet insurance. My dog developed a growth on a her eyelid which was touching the eyeball. It had to be removed and I had to pay cash. So I sourced a few quotes and happened upon the Hollies. Do not let the sparse interior decorating fool you. The service was friendly, professional and of very good quality. The veterinarian made effort and time to inform me properly. She promptly phoned me after the procedure was done to give me an update. It is now a week and a follow up appointment later and my dog is completely recovered. From my experience I can definitely recommend The Hollies.
We had to have our dog put to sleep recently and Nora and her team were excellent. They came to the house and allowed him to pass away surrounded by love and peace. I have used the practise for over 20 years and have nothing but praise for her and the team. Excellent service, good advise and proper pricing, no pushing un-necessary products or services on you. I would always recommend The Hollies to anyone needing a vet
Sadly I had to have my cat Lucky put down due to illness that was too much for her to carry on. She was 16 years old. The vet was lovely, understanding and very professional. Everything was explained, no rush at all to make that final decision. A few days later I was very surprised to receive a lovely hand written card expressing their condolences for my loss of Lucky. That card meant a great deal to me, it showed that the Vet and the Practice, cares for your pets. Thank you.
Lovely receptionist but cold vet. Have taken my elderly dog in a few times now and the vet doesn't seem to show much interest and immediately diagnoses medications and does a quick check over. Why would I want something so precious to me given such little care. Time to change my vets!!!
Fantastic caring veterinary surgery. So glad we moved here! The whole team can't do any more to meet your needs. It's an old fashioned approach to service and Mrs Morris the vet should be proud of her business and the team she has built.
Thank you for making us feel comfortable when unfortunately we had to let our cat Holly go we were a blubbery mess and thank you for trying everything you could before finding out what the reason was and lastly thank you for the card that we just received through the post for our loss I've never heard of a surgery doing this before and was a very nice gesture. I highly recommend this surgery as we have used it for years and plan to carry on doing so. 10/10
My cat had fallen and punctured her lung and she was drowning on her own blood . almost thought she had to be put down. Cant thank the staff enough highly commited to giving quality care to my cat. Going above and beyond. Saved my little beauties life . x
Do not go here!! The treatment is terrible, unprofessional, and led to the death of two kittens. While the receptionist is very lovely, the vet is extremely cold and showed no warmth or care towards mum or 4 kittens. It was a very “let’s get this over with attitude”. The vet administered a flea treatment to both Mum and all kittens 3 days old which cost a hefty price for one bottle. Within a few hours I lost the first kitten, and by morning a second was extremely weak and very close to dying. Panicked and extremely emotional, I rushed them in first thing, in which the vet took them to wash off the flea treatment obviously immediately suspecting the cause to be a flea treatment overdose. I recieved a phone call several hours later that the second kitten had also died and that mum and the 2 remaining kittens could now be picked up. Upon arrival I was handed a second bill and my cat carrier by the receptionist. NO APOLOGY and very little explanation of cause of death. I have since seeked professional advice from multiple vets, all of whom agree that the most probable cause of death was a flea treatment overdose. I WILL NEVER BE TAKING MY CATS BACK TO HOLLIES!
Wonderful vets, been coming here for years. She is so very kind. Unfortunately i had my cat put to sleep and she was so lovely and caring.
