We recently had a stray cat that we'd traced the owner on Facebook.  He said Ark Vets was their vet so we agreed to take the cat there to have him scanned.  We rang Ark Vets in the morning and were told it would be no problem by a very nice receptionist.  We got there and the same receptionist put us in one of their rooms.  All very positive until the most rude person I have ever come across stormed in, roughly pulled the cat out of the carrier and then stuffed him back in.  We told her the story of the owner but she said they couldn't take in a healthy cat but she'd try to contact the owner.  She stormed out and then back in for my details.  She then came back and said she couldn't reach the owner and would 'just have to stuff the cat in a kennel'.  She snatched up the carrier without a single care for the cat.

When we were leaving I asked what would happen to the cat if the owner couldn't be reached.  I was tartly told she didn't know, just didn't know but maybe a cats home.  I asked to be called so we could take him to the rescue we got out cats from.  I'm not holding out much hope.  I've messaged the owner to ask him to pick him up as soon as possible as I'm not even sure the cat will get water while he's there.

We have 4 cats and I'm so glad we take them to Ashfield House Vets in Long Eaton.  I have never seen so little care for a creature or such general rudeness. I know scanning is a free service and possibly inconvenient but it was as if we had destroyed this woman's life.

Good vet's, recommend joining thier pet club and puppy classes were great. My 2 dog's are never bothered about going which says alot for me.

Very good vets! They treat animal's so well and even make special adjustments for cats. The receptionists are friendly and understanding and the vets themselves are friendly, patient and professional. Very happy with the service

Ark went above and beyond to help my animals when they were poorly.  Very understanding and compassionate the people who work her obviously care about the animals they treat and they offer an excellent service.
I'd recommend ark to anyone who has pets/animals.
