Firstly, please take all of the negative 1* reviews with a pinch of salt! Each one is independently flawed... before any operation they perform, written AND verbal advice is given to you and documentation warns as a guide price as some procedures can incur additional cost due to potential complications - as is life... (Ours actually came out cheaper than quoted) As for taking a pet to the vet then blaming the vet for everything is complete Rubbish - life happens and often it is sad - it is called a) being an adult b) responsibility c) not being a 'victim' your whole life! I firmly believe that this vets has nothing but pure and positive morals - you'll know this from the receptionists, support staff and the vets themselves. The staff here are professionals and care - they clearly have a passion for what they do! Yes, It can get busy here and yes, is not the cheapest but then if you go with the cheapest you get the service you pay for and there are reasons for this amount! These guys have have not steered us wrong and we have been back and fourth a lot (!!!) recently. We have a collie but I see them treat all animals with a warm and professional reception!

All of the staff here are lovely!! The reception girls are always helping to keep my boy calm and I can't thank my vet John enough for all he's done to get my boy better over the last few months ...as well as help keep my mind at rest! Amazing vet's!

These people are miracle workers!! Had a cat and a dog treated by them. The cat was only 4 and had a virus that should have killed him temperature was off the scales like the vet had never seen without an animal fitting and dying they bought him back from the brink. Our 13 year old dog had a stroke. We thought they would tell us to put him down instead they had him over night and he's just come back home and apart from being a bit wobbly on his legs (which should improve in time) he's as good as he was before fingers crossed for his continued improvement. These guys are great and seem to know all of the possible causes of conditions and work accordingly in a pragmatic manner until they are happy with what treatment to give. Keep up the good work!

Ashfield House looked after my elderly cat for a couple of years and always were competent and good to deal with. Sadly my cat passed away a few days ago and I was in a bit of a mess when I brought him in, knowing it was going to be his last trip. Kate was really kind and sensitive about it when he had to be put down. Thank you for dealing with a difficult situation as well as you could, and for not losing touch with how to treat each individual customer and their pet with compassion and sensitivity.

We took our Cat to this vet after we suspected she had been hit by a car. We had 2 different vets give completely different diagnosis one saying she would be fine another saying full xray and dental work required. We were told that the work would be covered under our insurance and did a direct claim but then when the claim went through they told the insurance company the issue had nothing to do with the RTA and we have been left with a £400 bill. Of which includes interest and a late payment charge when we have been trying to discuss the charges with them. They also were very quick to hand it over to a collections company while we were still waiting for an explanation from them. The practice manager is full of lies and told us the work had to be completed due to the welfare of the cat but she had no problem with taking on food and was clearly not in any pain. The way they treat customers after the work is completed is disgusting and they are only in it for money. Absolute scammers!!!!
