**Food**nWe ordered the pie of the day which was a chicken, mushroom and sausage pie. It comes with 1/4 cabbage and mash but we were allowed to change it to fries instead. The cabbage was an odd combo for pie and mash. The pie itself.... Was interesting as we expected it to be more creamy. The pie was more watery than creamy inside. It isn't bad but it's not amazing either.nn**Service***nService was lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendlynnWill go back, but will try something else on the menu instead!
Outstanding! Just stumbled across here on my way home and had the most amazing vegan roast, you won’t find better anywhere else, and served in a bowl of gravy!
This is robust pub food at its best, good flavours and excellent service. The Sunday roast is delicious and value for money.nAlthough the pub can get noisy it’s a relief not to have to listen to music blaring out in the background.nWell worth booking in advance.
So pleased to return to what used to be our 'go to' pub on Friday nights during the early 90s. So many memories stirred.nnGreat atmosphere and it was busy for a Wednesday night quiz night clearly is popular.
We popped in for a quick drink. Lovely pub on the Heath. Polite and knowledgeable servers. Good range of drink options. Family and pet friendly. Clean and tidy. Homely decor. Didn't order food this time but have had the Sunday roasts in the past and they are delicious, well worth it Only issue is limited parking.
