I like the gym for its simplicity. You just turn up and get on with it. Staff are always approachable and there is plenty of space. Plus it's the cheapest place around without a contract. A couple of things: ' 1 'Injured' equipment can sometimes take a while to be fixed. 2 On a personal note maybe- I think the gym, like all gyms, should be more proactive / responsible in encouraging people to spend less time on their phones. Some people just sit on machines for like 10 mins texting away while others wait around. Would be nice to see signs / posters, etc. inspring people away from all that. But overall its probably the best gym around for the price.
Plenty of parking and the gym is bigger than I first thought as you can't see the free weights section from the road. It was clean and tidy. The kit and equipment was of a good quality.
Incurred a fine as a result of parking in the gym's own car park. I was properly parked and using the gym but received a £100 fine in the post. When I tried to resolve this, I found they had no phone number for customer service and their reply via email took so long that I had to pay the fine. Then at that point they were not willing to help. Overall, an unnecessarily poor customer experience as a result of using a facility that my membership pays for.
The gym itself is fine. What is frustrating is that they do not clearly advertise that you have to register your car on a tablet to get the free parking. I only found the tablet on my second visit when I was working out in a certain section. If I wasn’t working out in that section I would never of known that is where it is. The fact it is located at a random desk with a A4 paper saying car parking registration is a bit shocking really. Why is this not clearly marked when you enter. If you read through the reviews this is a common occurrence so why has this not been sorted out. To top it off I have emailed to hopefully get the charge removed and have had no response.
Good gym, cheap and often not too crowded. Could do with better turnarounds on repairing machines and areas in the gym sometimes a machine is broken for 1+months.
Good environment, nice staff. Some equipment non related with the weight machines needs repair. But its a great deal for the price in general.
Probably the best gym on the island but a victim of its own success. I'd recommend going out of peak times as it gets way too busy otherwise and not a big fan of waiting to use machines.
Loved the gym but first time I went there I arrived at 6 in the morning stayed for less than 2 hours now a month later I am getting a parking charge of £60 .. This is a rip off joke and am appealing it. i saw i was restricted to 2 hours 30 minutes but supposedly I am meant to have signed in in the gym as well?? I don't recall seeing anything or machine telling me I had to do this. And as a first time I'd ever used this gym I am disgusted that this is happening to me
Best gym in Pompy, beautiful facilities and lovely and spacious. Maybe fix the male shower doors though
Large gym. Clean environment. Good equipment. Friendly staff. Can get crowded during the day. But since it's open 24 hours, you can choose a good time accordingly. The app also let's you know how many people are in currently.
