Gym01 is one of the best places I have ever joined. The staff are always friendly and keen to help you if you have any problems, and the coaches are incredible with their knowledge and expertise. Every single class you will learn something new, and after 2 years at the gym, I can safely say that I have been learning something new and developing with every class I attend. As soon as you join you become part of the Gym01 family and part of a real team, who will become some of your best friends and supporters, and the confidence from knowing you can defend yourself in a nasty situation is a huge confidence booster too. The gym is suitable for all ages with family classes, young children, teenage and adult classes all day long, and will do everything possible to make sure that you enjoy yourself, no matter your background is. It really is a perfect place for everyone! I would highly recommend for anyone to come down to the Gym and try it out, I am sure it will change your life around, just like how it has done so for mine.

Amazing learning so many kicks and punch's my kicks go up to people head because they teach us so well like my heart pumps so bad so good Best kickboxing gym but I'm not a high belt But I'm a pro at it kickboxing teachers names Sam jade and there is more it's so amazing!

Must have had a bad day .... moved into the area to support a relative with terminal cancer ...went for 2 weeks and had a good time ... turned up one day and told i had to sign up before being let through - whilst in the paperwork ...in reality for the first time in about 12 visits that the person on reception insisted i sign in which i did not have a problem with .... BUT being in the csncer ward sporadically with phone off ..not always so straightforward to sign into classes ... spoke to manager who gave his side .... but did not even enquire as to the reasons i had trouble signing up to classes ( that did not seem to be enforced anyway ) - they were very friendly when they signed me up to a 3 mknth contract but the dude lectured me on signing in without even asking / considering the mitigating issues my end .... pretty heartless ...wont be returning - otherwise met some nice people and good instructors

Joining this gym worked a miracle for my confidence and my weight.I moved to Portsmouth for uni and into my second year of kickboxing I was worried about joining a new gym and having to basically start over. Took one session here to give me a shock! Coaches are amazingly friendly and helpful, you give them a goal they will help you make it happen. Not just the coaches but everyone else who trains here! Gym01 brings a new meaning to teammates and coaching. When I moved here I fell into the typical student habits and gained a fair bit of weight. With the help of the coaches and fellow team mates within 5 months I've managed to lose 15kg and I've never felt fitter or healthier! Gym01 is the gym for you if you want to boost your self esteem, confidence, meet like minded people, for fitness or for serious competition, even any other personal goals this gym will help you achieve them no matter what!
