Story

Yoga classes in Southsea, Portsmouth & Hampshire.

Lucy holds the Friends of Yoga Society International (FRYOG) Diploma and has been teaching for over 8 years. She also holds the FRYOG Postgrad Diploma in teaching Yoga for Children and is a fully qualified Birthlight teacher for pregnancy and post natal yoga. Lucy has recently gained certification for offering Indian Head Massage and is now studying Yoga Therapy with the Devon School of Yoga & offers therapy 1:1 and in small groups.

Donna is also a FRYOG qualified teacher & has a special interest in working with clients with mental health and drug & alcohol problems, an area she has worked in for over 7 years.

I attended pregnancy yoga with Lucy throughout my pregnancy (and then to the early postnatal classes too). Lucy's classes are much more than just a nice stretch for your body. She has a woman centred approach with an immensely positive emphasis on birth. I was able to use the breathing techniques I learnt at her classes during labour to great effect. I went to Lucy's classes as she had a good CV of yoga and pregnancy qualifications and experience. Which I thought were hugely important, especially in the delicate early postnatal period. 
I highly recommend yoga at Portsmouth yoga!

I've attended pre and post natal yoga @ Portsmouth Yoga with Lucy Barlow.  Not only is she incredibly caring and compassionate, a superb yoga teacher, she's very well educated and informed about all kinds of aspects of care for pregnant and postpartum women.  If all you do is go there for be soul-nurtured you'll not be disappointed but you get so much more.  In later years I attend regular yoga classes that are amazing at body strengthening in a beautiful calming environment.  Highly recommended

This is a great yoga studio in the heart of southsea. If you have never done yoga before and want to try it, this is definitely place to go! There are plenty of teachers to suit your personality and need. Every single one of them is lovely and helpful, and got their personal style. This is not just yoga studio, it's place where you find friends for life

Had tried classic yoga, pregnancy yoga and yoga with baby classes and loved them all! Done the yoga retreat with Lucy as well! If you are looking for yoga that goes beyond stretches and poses, but still feels comfortable and relaxed- you'll love it here. If you are expecting a baby and want a natural and calm pregnancy and birth- this is a lovely place to get all the right support.

I have been regularly attending this studio for 2 years and am blessed to have been taught by Lucy, Donna & Sam.  Its a beautiful and fully equipped studio..fairy lights to boot!.  Great for all levels of ability.  Always welcomed with open arms and an open heart...wouldn't hesitate to recommend Portsmouth Yoga
