The staff was so helpful helping me taste each ale they had to offer prior to choosing my option. It has a nice atmosphere with plenty of locals enjoying it.Service: 5/5
The food here is amazing!!! Beer great too, nice little village, has a few shops, hair dressers and a couple of other pubs. But this one serves lovely food, great prices. I had the chicken burger, I’d say the best I’ve ever had, chips amazing too. My children had pizza and that was lovely. Only downside I’d say is maybe have a tidy up of the back yard. Pub itself is clean and tidy, a little dated but understand it costs thousands to update things. Nice traditional pub. Thanks Walkability: Nice walk around the village after
Great pub friendly staff. Awesome selection of beers!Service: 5/5
Very pleasant. Had a nice few pints and a few games of pool. Didn't eat, so can't comment on the food but the landlord was very friendly and kind; when my friend's young toddler kicked up a fuss, rather than grumbling, the landlord brought a little toy truck over for him to play with and settled him straight away! Made the atmosphere feel very friendly and welcoming.
Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Sunday lunch is amazing and a very reasonable price. Craig the Chef, Owner, Barman, decorator, cellar man and all round comedian cooks the best steak. I’m extremely particular about how steak should melt in your mouth and Craig’s steak does exactly that.
Had a very pleasant family evening with a meal at The Griffin yesterday. Would recommend the mixed grill - excellent value. The publican/chef is very attentive and couldn't be more helpful. We rounded off the evening with a game of pool and darts. Its nice to see the village pub in good hands!Service: 5/5
Classic British pub, warm friendly atmosphere, good value food cooked to order, function room for those special events ,beer garden , play area , pool table, darts etc. Occasional live music and karaoke , What more could you want ! Highly Recommended.Service: 5/5
Don't know about the rooms, the beer is good and the food is great. Best Sunday pub lunch I've ever had by a country mile...Service: 5/5
I had Sunday lunch at the newly refurbished Griffin pub and the well restaurant, the food was fantastic and the service was great. We have also had a takeaway Sunday lunch from there and what a treat this was. The new look bar has a great selection of gins for the gin lover it’s great that the village now has a much needed restaurant and for only being open for a few weeks are doing a great job so far and deserve all the support they can get from the village. Try it! we love it
We had a table of 10 booked for Sunday lunch. We all agreed food was delicious! Attentive service and nothing was too much trouble. The pub and restaurant have been refurbished and is an asset to the village. I would definitely recommend you give it a try.
