This handsome village pub looks much the same as it would have when it was built from mellow Cotswold stone some 400 years ago.

If you are a fan of traditional pubs with open fires, good old furniture, bookcases and rugs, and if you like cask ales, a decent wine list and simple food made from fresh ingredients cooked in the pub, then we think the Greyhound will tick all your boxes.

Came here for my dad's birthday meal as he used to go years ago and said the food was very good. He wasn't wrong, everyone enjoyed their meals and the food really was tasty. I had the lamb shanks which I could highly recommend. The atmosphere was laid back and the staff were friendly. The pub decor is beautiful, definitely recommend anyone who's passing by to pop in and have a meal
Simply PERFECT: Nice, cosy ambience indoors, massive beer garden covered and uncovered seating, good choice of fresh, home made and yummy food at reasonable prices; ample parking; and friendly service personnel - what else is there to wish for?!Perfect venue for a perfect night out. THANKS.
A stop for lunch as we headed west, arrived early and were lucky to get a table, make sure to book for the weekends. Food is tasty, fresh and wide ranging without being overwhelming. Great for those watching their weight with calorie counts on the dishes. Drink choice is also plentiful, staff are friendly and we're attentive. Deffo recommend for those that like something pub luxe.
A beautiful, picturesque English pub serving exceptional food with a cosy and welcoming feel. The menu was varied and everything sounded delicious, great beer choices, and the staff were lovely - everything you could ask for from a pub. Great find, will be back soon!
Lovely meal sat outside. Passed this pub so often on journeys. It was good to stop at long last. Food good and well presented. An enjoyable experience. Want to return
Wow! What an absolute treasure! We walked here from Cumnor, but for those who, like us, are tied to public transport, the S6 and S9 buses between Oxford and Swindon and Wantage stop right outside. The place has a gorgeous garden and terrace area, with table service on the terrace from lovely staff. The food was really good, especially the cheese board and the crispy squid crispy squid always being a mixed bag at pubs. The bar had a wide range of beers on tap, as well as oh my god 6 ales on hand pump, with another six coming soon. All beers were in excellent form. The pub is also an architectural delight. I simply cannot recommend this place enough!
The decor and atmosphere is very pleasant indeed, proper traditional country pub. Decent sized car park with overspill males leaving the car hassle free. The staff are friendly and inviting, decent bar area with extensive indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely choices on the menu I could have happily selected most of the offerings in the end choosing the buttermilk chicken burger. Wifi available, decent gin list if you’re into your gin, on the whole a great pub that simply has to be visited. Based on my experience I think you would be mad not to try the food or at least have a drink.
Excellent food had three courses shared the first and last course. The vegetables are cooked just we like them. Had a non alcoholic gin as the named driver this was a bonus. Complements to the chef so naughty but nice. Daniel bless him it was his first shift he asked the right questions and put us both at ease.
Nice atmosphere, dogs allowed, pricey, food could have been better, not going again.
Very nice place for dinner. Somehow, the online table booking system sent the wrong time to the restaurant. Nonetheless, we got seated immediately after showing the email confirmation we received. The chocolate tart with sorbet was delicious. While we're there, the burgers look amazing. We're going back to try the burgers. Oh yeah, very extensive kids menu. The girls enjoyed the meals.
