Gorgeous terrace area over the river. Beer selection is ok but low on ales. Only Doombar on offer when I visited. Bar food menu sounded nice, sandwiches but a bit fancier...

We went to the Maybush this evening for a catch-up with some friends. The food was lovely and couldnt fault that part of the meal, however when the other customers left about 9:30pm the waitress put her coat and baseball cap on, turned some of the lights off, the music off and sat on her phone waiting for us to leave in full view. When we asked if she knew any taxi numbers she replied ‘I don’t know any as I’ve just moved to the area’ and didn’t offer any further help.

Food ok but You MUST check your bill, I was shocked to find four items had been added to my tab totalling over £16.00.. When I queried it I was presented with the correct bill immediately.. The member of staff didnt even check which items were not meant to be on the incorrect bill !!! Sharp practice if I ever saw it

Small, charming riverside pub. I stopped here for a quick beer, by means of comparison to the country pub immediately across the bridge. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. The Maybush has quite obviously been recently refurbished, so the interior has quite a "new" feel to it, overall. Outside there's a large deck beside the river. Service is warm and welcoming, and the Bombardier was excellent. Overall, this pub has a more intimate atmosphere than its counterpart across the river. Chances are I'll be coming back here when I'm back in the area.
