Stayed overnight in tent at rear of pub with friend on a bike trip. Great place to stay with all you need, fresh water toilets and shower.nPub is great with amazing staff and friendly locals.nThey even supplied me with a few tea bags free when I realised I had forgotten mine for my morning cuppa.nCould only be improved if they did breakfast.nGood location for a bike ride in the area.
We came to the Green Man for Mother’s Day and had the most amazing roast, followed by a delicious pudding. The food was excellently presented, including several different types of vegetable, and I had the most amazing crackling with my pork I have tasted in a long while, all reasonably priced for very large portions.nThe service was first class and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.nMade my Mother’s Day special, I would recommend it to anyone.nSuperb.
The Wife two Jack Rustles and I stayed two nights in Motorhome. Great Welcome Parking location and all services pointed out to us jovial chatty Staff but left to ourselves once settled. Any questions after no problem. high standards of cleanliness also, constant improvements to come to what is currently available the icing on the cake. Tents caravans also on site. Food very limited check ahead. Pizza truck turned up Saturday evening they were busy. Also Friday fish and chip van in village just listen out for its tune you shall have a fishy. Clientele friendly will local knowledge. Co-op early to late very handy near church with occasional chimes during day. All ready booked return visit local Beer and Cider festival on.
Perfect little touring site. Level and next to the river with a pub on site and a very pretty village with a shop and other pubs. Shower and loo. Friendly accommodating host. Great value stop.
Three weary travelers, in search of a place to rest, stumbled upon The Green Man. David, the amiable barkeep, not only welcomed us but also shared the rich history of this venerable establishment. As the oldest pub in the area, it exuded a timeless charm that immediately captivated our senses.nnDavid's extensive local knowledge extended beyond the pub's history, as he offered valuable insights into hikes in the surrounding area. His guidance added a layer of depth to our stay, turning it into an exploration of both the past and the natural wonders that embraced the pub.nnThe pub itself boasted an impressive array of beers that painted the walls with the hues of countless brews.nnIn the morning, The Green Man continued to impress with a breakfast spread that filled the air with a delicious aroma, setting the stage for a hearty start to the day.nnIn conclusion, The Green Man stands as more than a historic pub; it's a haven for weary travelers seeking not just shelter but a connection to the past, guidance for adventures, and a taste of local hospitality. David's warm welcome and the pub's timeless charm make it a must-visit, leaving an indelible mark on the journey of those fortunate enough to discover its allure.
