Wow what a little gem of a Pub! The atmosphere is nice and cosy. The staff are all very friendly. The outdoor seating is so nice and just spot on. I went for dinner with a couple of friends and had a burger. All the food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. If you are in Southam, definitely visit The Crown Inn!
Been a few times now, Guiness never tastes right - flat and lifeless. Dirty glass. Can't comment on the food as the dirty glasses and head-less Guinness were enough to put us off. A boat full of water and conkers in the children's play area? Toilets filthy. Went in an hour after opening, no loo roll and lots of dirt everywhere. Finger marks on everything. Not a pleasant visit at all. We don't go out very often but when we do, it's infuriating spending money in a place that clearly doesn't take much care in hygiene and quality.
Sadly, the staff brought the wrong burger, then the kitchen proceeded to scrape the melted cheese and bring the correct version with a cold slab of cheese and cold chips. I rarely eat burgers, chose this as a treat, and it was a disappointment. definitely not a gourmet experience. Unfortunately, when you are in a group, it's hard to complain as it puts a downer on everything. Sadly, I won't eat here again.
Christmas lunch was an absolute disaster, cold Mulled wine cold main course no roast potatoes and Christmas pudding never turned up!!!!! So short staffed not enough communication to diners , we were the 12 o clock sitting and the 3pm sitting were queueing out of the door because there was no tables ready as everyone was still eating!! Really really bad management, maybe next time book in less people. Hope they sort it out. This was our second and last visit, ever!!!!
Terrible Sunday roast if the chef can’t be bothered to put the cauliflower cheese under the grill for two minutes. What other corners is he she cutting? Great bar staff though.
Absolutely awful ruined our Xmas day, food was cold and items missing , had to wait 2 hours for mains to come. No festive decoration on table at all. Service was very poor and unfriendly for Xmas day. Second sitting customers arriving before we had even had pudding this was after 3 hours! Complete disaster such a shame for all customers.
Excellent food, nice interior, good service. It's been through some different managers in the past but it's doing exceptionally well now.
One of the best roasts I've had in a long time! Amazing food, super friendly staff and my dad was taken back to his childhood with the music Great little pub, definitely worth a visit!
Just had a superb Sunday roast, the beef was to die for. The whole meal including pudding was spot on. Really friendly, cosy place, nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be going again.. Thankyou. Neil, Penny & Skye Labrador
Fish and chips were poor really greasy and didn't taste of anything other than grease, the squid was over cooked and the same really greasy however my companions burgers looked nice and they said they were.
