Its reputation as a place to visit for a tasty Sunday roast certainly befits it. Sublime roast potatoes and meats.

Yes, you get the impression that it's a place where regulars and locals are most welcomed, but that's a good thing! We had an excellent, polite service from the barman and waiter, and the owners who were present at the bar were also polite, asking us if we enjoyed our meal.

Yes, there's two Bulldogs present that basically have the run of the pub. They are in paradise, given free will to sit on the chairs and beg for your leftovers under the table.

If you like dogs like me, you won't mind at all. But if you're a bit abversive to such animals approaching you while you eat your dinner, then try another pub!

Lovely beer garden, great food and service. Burger bar out the front serving up some very tasty food to supplement the kitchen! Great beers and right on the waterfront - perfect on a sunny afternoon! Even better if you arrive by canal!

Lovely pub.  Found it by mistake but am really glad we did.  Best steak in the area by far (and we like our steak!)  Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and 2 gorgeous pub dogs!

Amazing food. Went for a work lunch and all 10 people were suitably stuffed and very happy with the quality of food. Highly reccomended especiallybduring the summer when you can make the most of the canalside setting.  Will be back for more, has been added to our lunch venue list.
