The grazing goat is close to where we live, we come mainly for drinks which we love but not often for dinner and whenever we do it’s a little disappointing. I prefix this by saying it’s a great pub for the ambience, beautiful interior and super friendly and efficient staff however the food is a mixed bag…our rib eye steak was delicious but the duck was a bit tough and lacking flavour and the single scallop for £11.50 is getting to silly prices even for Marylebone. The menu feels generally overpriced for what you get and at the current quality we won’t be rushing back.
Ended up here for brunch as the place we intended to go to was really busy. We sat outside. Service was excellent as was the slightly quirky menu - two of us had pancakes and the third the full breakfast. The location is great - about five minutes walk from the top of Oxford Street/Hyde Park. Nearby activities: It’s central London- so there is every activity under the sun! Safety: Area felt very safe. Walkability: Walking distance from Oxford Street and transport links Food & drinks: As mentioned, we had brunch here- good choice and vegetarian options too
The food was really good. I had the shin and side of potatoes, and the flavors were nice. The service was spot on and the atmosphere was friendly and busy. The desserts looked amazing but I didn’t have any room left to enjoy one. I only had lunch here, but I am sure the rooms would be nice. Will definitely return when I am back in town, thank you! Food & drinks: Nice little restaurant.
I went here for a surprise birthday party. I should add, I wasn't surprised because it wasn't my birthday but I was very impressed. The venue is excellent and served delicious food and wine. I'm not sure if we were eating from the normal menu but everything was first class from the ingredients to the preparation to the serving. This is a top eatery and I would highly recommend it.
Been here twice now and equally impressed both times. A really great gastro-pub experience with excellent British food perfect for taking a parent with no interest in foreign cuisine! but also a super spot to hang out with friends and some excellent cocktails topped off with authentically friendly service.Service: 5/5
Incredible food with great service and amazing drinks. Wait staff was excellent and very helpful towards our food allergies and preferences. Definitely worth the visit, every dish we tried was delicious!
I booked two nights as went to BST in Hyde Park. Location was what I booked more than anything, & in this it didn’t disappoint. I ate once in the restaurant. I found this average at best and overpriced for what it was. The room was up approx 36 steps. It had a wooden floor which didn’t help with sound insulation. As it was the floor above a restaurant and bar it was noisy as expected. The entrance into the shower cubicle was tiny and the bed was comfy. On the whole I would recommend based on location.
Another restaurant that is shooting above it's pay grade. Would certainly be bankrupt in any city where people know what good food is. 3 cheese toasties with barely any cheese, scrambled eggs that are anything but scrambled eggs only the wild mushrooms are saving this dish, while poached eggs on muffins are overcooked and overpriced... The dining room has a nice brasserie vibe but that's pretty much the only Pros of this place along with location. Avoid if you don't want to feel ripped off and still hungry when leaving.
The Grazing Goat has some of the best fish and chips in London. The Shepard’s pie is superb too. For a traditional London pub meal this is one of the finest. Easy to find off New QuebecStreet in Marylebone. The selections of food and beverage are certain to meet the needs of the most discerning patrons. Need a place to stay. They have rooms available as well.
I have visited a 2 times once with my picky parents and other time with a pregnant friend and this was superb both times on every level. Firstly the beer here is fantastic I am always happy to have a Czech lager they serve here on tap and this place offers a fantastic selection of British and modern cuisine. I was here for a roast with my parents and it was amazing and the other time we randomly popped in September and had fresh oysters, chicken and a pie, the food was tasty, served nicely and the service was attentive and not in our face all the time either which I feel is the perfect balance. I can only speak about this place in superlatives.
