It's our first time to try this restaurant for afternoon tea for our 1st wedding anniversary. We were very well looked after by all staff and specially by Marie at the Restaurant , who has been very courteous and 5 star service. we feel very welcomed and definitely will come back again.
We came here for afternoon tea, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our host, Vivian, was really welcoming and explained the menu, offering us helpful recommendations. I was especially touched by the birthday surprise when Vivian and another waiter sang "Happy Birthday" to me. It made the day even more special. Thank you for such a memorable experience!
I came here for afternoon tea and was really impressed. Vivian was our host and he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was something to remember. Excellent customer service from Vivian. He explained everything on the menu and the food was delicious especially the savoury. I loved the combination of the ingredients and also the variety of teas which you can have unlimited. I stayed at the Marriott Park Lane, and breakfast was served at Lanes of London. The food was fresh and flavorful, with a wide variety of options to choose from. What made the experience truly stand out was the impeccable service, especially from our waiter, Vivian. He was incredibly attentive, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant start to our day. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. I will definitely return!

Came here for afternoon tea before our spa treatments. Had a great time in this wonderful hotel restaurant. The service was immaculate - the servers explained everything to us thoroughly and were accommodating to my allergies and teetotal lifestyle. Loved the concept of the afternoon tea: a walk through Hyde Park. I've definitely had a better tasting afternoon tea, but I appreciate the thought and craftsmanship behind the one offered here, even if the execution wasn't perfect. Overall, if you get the chance to have afternoon tea here before your spa, go for it!
My friend and I went for afternoon tea before Christmas. We were greeted and seated by friendly staff. The waiter fully explained the afternoon tea menu and we made our tea selections. The thing that I like about this afternoon tea is that you get two of everything so that both of you get to try everything on offer. I have had afternoon tea in other places where you only get one of everything and you have to cut them in half in order to be able to taste them all. The selection of sandwiches was interesting and some not to my taste but this is personal. Trying to pay the bill at the end was slightly problematic and it felt like we struggled to get anyone’s attention once we were ready to leave. This meant that we ended up approaching a member of staff to pay on the way out as we waited a long time after asking two members of staff for the bill. It was a pleasant experience but not the best or worst afternoon tea we have had, we would recommend and return.
Was shopping in Mayfair area and had strong eager to have afternoon tea so we called the lanes of London if there’s any seat available. Fortunately there is! We had afternoon tea with bubble. The sweets were amazing though it was not unlimited supply. Overall it was a good experience. Highly recommended!Food: 4/5
A very nice restaurant with extremely reasonably priced food. So very nice and quiet. The waiter was extremely attentive but not bothersome. We started with appetizers pan seared scallops & a lobster and prawn croquette. Beautiful presentation forgot to snap pictures and very flavorful. Would definitely order them again! We both ordered the Fish & Chips and I have to say, they were some of the best I’ve ever had in London over the years. Huge chunks of white fish with a breading that was neither too thick nor too thin that had a fantastic CRUNCH! The mushy peas were flavored with an herb mixture. The chips French Fries for us Americans were very good. Perfectly fried. We were so full we had to skip deserts, but plan to come back to try their offerings which I have no doubt will also impress. Give this place a try…you won’t be disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Botanical Afternoon Tea with bottomless bubbles here last week. Lanes has a perfect location being just a couple of minutes walk from Marble Arch tube station and across the road from Hyde Park lovely for walking off their generous afternoon tea! Service from all of the staff was exceptional. Tea menu is extensive, even for the pickiest of tea connoisseurs. Sandwiches were fresh and inventive, we especially loved the use of the specialty breads which made them a little more special than your average afternoon tea offering. Scones were some of the best we’ve ever tasted and the cakes were delicate morsels from heaven. All in all, a wonderful experience where you’re made to feel very special by the fantastic staff. Thank you to all of the team- we will definitely be back xxx
