A quaint 13th century and hidden treasure just by the bridge. As you enter through a charming doorway, it's as if you stepped back into time. Just to the left is the Pub with a large variety of ales and other specialty drinks. Cozy and friendly. As you wind around toward the right and in the back, a vast array of tables and chairs decor the several unique rooms to serve meals in. For a moment, I felt like I was in a secret library as we passed through into another room with beautiful artwork displayed tastefully throughout the dining area. Although I came during early March, there did appear to be a patio area for the summer and fall time to dine on. The meals were absolutely delicious and well done. I cannot say enough about the delicious desserts. We ordered several of them and I honestly couldn't choose a favorite because each one was unique and absolutely divine!nnI highly recommend this fabulous restaurant!
We just turned up for a family meal on a Saturday night and it was great. The lad serving us deserves a medal for being superb at serving a very busy restaurant. Bravo
A friendly pub with nice ambience but the food is not great. We had different dishes but both were very dry...almost certainly from the microwave and tasteless......overpriced for what we had. Not rushing back
Popped in for dinner on a recommendation of a friend. It was a good recommendation. It may not look like the fanciest of places from the outside, but the traditional pub is host to an excellent restaurant inside. I had absolutely excellent steak, with chips to perfection, it was an absolute delight. Price seems very reasonable for the quality of food being served. 100% recommend the steak and chips. Marvellous
Went for a meal this evening. Had excellent moules marinere. Good service. They also tell you where there produce comes from. All Cornish suppliers. Only downside was not a lot of choice for vegetarians like my wife.nTasty veggie food is so easy to prepare and cook and these days it is becoming more popular than ever. Most dishes can utilise what the chefs already have in the kitchen.
