The Globe Inn is a 13th century, warm and friendly freehouse, popular with locals and visitors alike due to its reputation for excellent food, variety of real ales and the quality of its Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Delicious, freshly prepared blackboard specials complement the extensive menu and are served in the restaurant, bar area and secluded patio garden, each of which has its own special atmosphere.

Popped in for dinner on a recommendation of a friend. It was a good recommendation. It may not look like the fanciest of places from the outside, but the traditional pub is host to an excellent restaurant inside. I had absolutely excellent steak, with chips to perfection, it was an absolute delight. Price seems very reasonable for the quality of food being served. 100% recommend the steak and chips. Marvellous
Went for a meal this evening. Had excellent moules marinere. Good service. They also tell you where there produce comes from. All Cornish suppliers. Only downside was not a lot of choice for vegetarians like my wife.nTasty veggie food is so easy to prepare and cook and these days it is becoming more popular than ever. Most dishes can utilise what the chefs already have in the kitchen.
Fantastic food! Have eaten here three times over the last week while on holiday, the Lasagne is beautiful, today I had the Thai Green Curry and it was just as good as the stuff we had in Thailand last year! Staff are lovely too, HIGHLY recommend
The food absolutely blew us away, this is the third time coming and every time has been special. The chowder is always a fantastic starter and the beef was unbelievably tasty with the chimichurri.nnMy partner really enjoyed the fish and her scallops for a starter.nnThe service was fantastic and very helpful.nnWill be back!
Thanks to our hosts @ Penrose B&B Chris & Heidi they highly recommended us to Globe Inn when we inquired about a good walkable restaurant from our guest house in the wonderful village of Lostwithiel. We were greeted by Jane who was an excellent server & instantly made us welcome. Kitchen closes at 830 so get there early. We made a reservation & had a lovely table in the main dining room overlooking the beautiful patio. Food was excellent we had local fresh scallops with couscous & a roasted tomato & peppers . They had 2 fresh local catch of the day specials . Both were exquisite. Hake & Sole . Lovely ambiance , cosy & felt like we’d stepped back in time . The village dates back to 1189 & this was one of the highlights of our trip . Thank you for your wonderful hospitality & keep up the good work . Congrats to the Chef we”ll be back to visit before we head home . Can’t comment on accommodation but if the food is anything to go by I’m sure the rooms are fit for a Queen
