We had a lovely welcome and pleased with our room. Very clean, well presented and cosy. Friendly pub with attentive staff, great menu, delicious food and refreshments. Exceptional breakfast selection. Not much in the town itself but nice to wander around. Sadly, and NOT the pubs fault at all, but our car was 'keyed' down the entire passenger side whilst in their carpark. A real shame as we were enjoying Cornwall's atmosphere until then. Not a reflection of the pub but perhaps carpark CCTV might eliminate this type of thing. Just our luck and hopefully it was just a one off incident.
Food review ... We live about 15 miles away from Lostwithiel and fancied a meal in a Sunday that wasn't just a roast or carvery harder to find than you'd think We were pleased to find that as well as a roast from 12-5 this one also uses it's normal main menu on a Sunday from 5 o'clock so we chose here and booked a table for 5 o'clock. So glad we did, the staff were super friendly, food really lovely with huge portions. Cant commet on the starters as we only had main and desert but both were great. Glad we booked because it got busy but we still didn't have a long wait for the food. Definitely going to go back again so glad we found it and that it's not too far from home.
Delightful pub, with excellent food.nOur overnight stay was perfect, comfy bed, immaculately clean en suite, big fluffy towels.....everything we needed.nThe members of staff were just lovelyn....special mention for Leanne....a huge thank you to you all.nHoping to see you again next year!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Oak. Room was large bed comfy brand new bathroom and spotlessly clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful and customer service was fantastic. Breakfast and dinner were lovely will definitely come back and stay we had a great time and would highly recommend
Went here today for afternoon tea and the service was great. The two gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and the food was very nice. Well worth going.
