The hotel is in a brilliant location. 5-10 walk to the right you have Windermere and just 15-20 walk to the left you have the main town Bowness. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the decor looked great. We did eat in the hotel and as others have commented the food was excellent and good value to. Our room was clean and well presented but the only reason why I did not gave I've stars was the shower lacked power. However would I stay in this hotel again...most definitely.

Hidden Gem, Hotel was well kept and spotless. Staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here. Also a little tip book direct as it's cheaper than on the discount websites!

Unfortunately the central heating failed the day before we arrived, however a fan heater was provided and switched on in the room in advance of check-in. On our 2nd day the power failed for a couple of hours. Staff were friendly and breakfast was very nice. Other than these issues which could well be one-off isolated problems I really enjoyed staying at the hotel and would have rated it 4/5 accordingly. Stayed between Christmas and New Year 2017.

Lovely, clean, cosy hotel with excellent food and friendly staff. I would high reccomend this hotel.
