Really enjoyed our stay here the hotel is really nice just our style and it has parking which is always a bonus in bowness. The facilities are good with its own licensed bar and very close to shops and restaurants. I have stayed here twice now and both rooms have been great with complimentary sherry on arrival, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The cooked Cumberland breakfast was really nice and all seemed to be good quality ingredients.

We love this place so much, there are so many places to stay but we keep coming back again and again. Everything is perfect👌. We normally stay in room 1 or 7 or 10 and love them all. The breakfast is big, tasty and not greasy at all plus with lots to choose from. Back again 2 weeks 😊. Thank you Andrew🌟, who goes over and beyond to make our stay just as special as ever, along with his staff who are very welcoming and friendly🏅. Chris, Heidi and kids👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Top notch rooms and staff willing to go the extra mile. Clean spacious and excellent value for money. This has got to be the best in the area.

I haven’t been too the Lake District since I was a young boy so returning after 8 years was great, for my girlfriends birthday we spent a night at Lonsdale house . We stayed in room 9 which is right at the top of the house, the room holds a beautiful view of lake Windermere as well as that it had been snowing during the time of our stay so the views were to die for, room very clean and everything in the room was easy to locate, room size in general very good. Staff members are lovely and will go out of their way to help you with anything. Beds are very comfortable so you’ll have no trouble sleeping, our room wasn’t disturbed by any noise off the main road which has been mentioned in other reviews but it didn’t bother either of us personally, we got a good rest. Everything you need like a corner shop or a restaurant is within a few minutes walk. The lakes it’s self is about 5 minutes walk. The breakfast was very very good, no greasy just a traditional Cumbrian breakfast, personally I would recommended Lonsdale house to anyone thinking about spending a few nights in Windermere, absolutely loved our stay and hopefully will stay again sometime in the future!
