Very good family run hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable. Plenty hot water. Good food. Friendly staff. Good base to explore the Lake District. Walking distance to shops. "Lake view" is more of the surrounding hills as about 1 mile from Lake Windermere. Good for couples.

Really well placed hotel easy walk to Bo'ness and the lake one way and windermere the other Food was good and the room was comfortable and clean with nice view over the lake

Had carvery lunch very disappointed , no roast beef no Yorkshire pudding 2 out of the sweets not available. Struggled to get wine ordered don't seem to want to give drinks

Beautiful view and old style rustic feel in the rooms. The breakfast was very nice and the view from breakfast room is exquisite. Location is very good as well. Close to Bowness pier and easy walk to Windermere town centre. Lots of nice restaurants nearby as well. Staff is polite and helpful.

Very reliable for a good meal. Clean inside and friendly staff. Excellent for Sunday carvery.
