Dog friendly restaurant. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Lots of choice on the menu including special offers. A lovely setting with two gardens: one overlooking the castle and brook, the second, a walled garden. The George is in a lovely village with great country walks.

Really cheap but not the cleanest. We stopped whilst we visited Longleat. On getting in the room the bed head board had collapsed on one side. The room was very dusty and the floor didn't fit the bathroom properly. On checkout in the morning they tried to charge us for the previous occupants drinks. When we questioned it the other girl said oh I saw that but didn't know how to remove it. Thanks we'll just pay for it then shall we? On the good side as I said it was very cheap and the food was really very good. The location is very good too with the castle a short stroll away.

Absolutely love this place. We go here regularly for dates or family meals. The food is brilliant and the menu well thought out. Atmosphere is great and staff are always helpful. After stuffing yourself you can go for a walk around the castle opposite.

Family friendly place to eat with a lovely view of the castle. Food was average, due to over cooked meals. I will not recommended it to a friend.

Lovely ambiance. Food was ok by service very slow and hardly attentive... Will give it another go....
