Visited on recommendation so was disappointed with our experience. Room was nice, food was good, but the service was terrible. While our waitress was lovely the management were rude and unhelpful. Despite being told we could arrive before check in and leave our bags, the car park was pointed out and we were told check in was from 4. We had to go and wonder round. When checking in, the manager stood at bottom of stairs, pushed a carafe of water into our hands while juggling our bags and told us where we could find our room. Despite the website saying midweek deals could pay a supplement to order off the main menu, we weren’t allowed so a very restricted menu. Breakfast was disappointing. No juice, 1 coffee and dressed salad served with a bacon and egg sandwich.nnThis has the potential to be excellent but a change in attitude is needed. We did not feel welcomed or valued. We won’t be returning.
Classic bistro in beautiful Frome. Excellent service, dealing with some very specific requests from one of our party with professionalism. The food was outstanding. We had watercress gin as an aperitif. Starter of pear and goats cheese salad, along with mains of beouf bourginogn, lamb, trout and steak as a birthday celebration. All perfectly executed. It's not cheap but absolutely well worth every penny. Our only very minor gripe was that our 79 year old dad had to sit in his coat for the main part of the meal. But we all warmed up when our mains arrived. Thank you Lotte Team
Enjoyed a lovely lunch here yesterday. Super food, nice 'French' ambiance and very pleasant staff. Reasonable prices and at no point did we feel rushed.nWe'll definitely be returning and hope to sample the tempting supper menu.
Just called in for lunch yesterday - few places open, it was busy but they found us a table and were very nice.nFood was excellent and well presented. Welcoming staff and enjoyed the experience. We have been here before and same experience, so we will come again! Thank you.,
We are in the restaurant last night and it was an absolute joy.nnWe arrived in Frome and didn’t have a reservation so thought we would try our luck as soon as Bistro Lotte opened.nnThe team were so accommodating and seated us straight away.nnThe atmosphere and the interior design was so perfect, authentically French and super cosy and bustling.nnWe had 3 course, wine and appatiefs and everything was utterly delicious.nThe T-bone steak was insanely good and the French desserts were better than I’ve even sampled in France.nnIncredibly good value and an absolute gem - Lotte is exactly what we are missing in Plymouth and we will most certainly be back.nnThanks so much and congrats on having such a happy team and creating something so special!
