We regularly eat out both in the UK and abroad. This place was average at best. My partner commenting that my own food was better (I have no connection whatsoever to cooking food professionally). My main reason for the single star however was nothing to do with the quality of the food, it was for the dishonesty. We ordered a 2 course meal £14.95 and a 3 course meal £17.95. However, we were charged full price for the 2 course meal. So the 3 courses were the same price as the 2. Personally I would rather pay the going rate and leave a £20 tip and feel delighted than have £3 added to my bill and feel duped. Overall, considerably below par for an eatery wanting to be taken seriously.

Still probably one of the best continental style restaurants in Kendal. Good menu. Good wine. However, it does seem to be losing the special touch it once had.

Love this place. Had lunch today and it was fabby. Nice relaxed atmosphere and excellent service with wonderful food and friendly unobtrusive staff. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent quality, there's good choice, and the service is superb. It's definitely a romantic, cosy restaurant for couples. I wish I could go there more often!
