What can I say about this place. It’s in the heart of the city with outstanding views of most of the most recognised landmarks in London, from St Paul’s to Tower bridge. We visited on a murky dull February morning. A quick queue and security screen and it’s into the lift for 30 seconds and you’re on the roof. Loads of seating areas and nice and relaxing. Once round the edge and then sit and people watch or just take in the view in front of you.nEfficient and friendly staff get you through and queue.nOh, and did I mention it’s free to get in too!nAs mentioned above, when we visited this time the view was quite restricted by the low cloud but seeing the Shard half shrouded in cloud was really quite cool.nDefinitely visit if you can.nTwo minute walk from Fenchurch Street station.
There are plenty of rooftop areas in London – but this one is definitely my favourite right now.nnThe Garden at 120 is in the Fenchurch Street in London, not far from the Tower and the Monument. There's a security check before you enter a lift and head up, either to the restaurant on the 14th or the garden at the 15th floor.nnOnce you step out of the lift, you can already see the glass barrier surrounding the entire garden. It still doesn’t restrict the view over the London skyline. There are plenty of options to sit and just enjoy the scenery, glance at the water or enjoy the calm of the plants around you.nnIt is a modern garden, a combination of nature, stone and glass. There surely are roof tops that are way higher and offer a better view, but this one offered something the others did not have for me: a certain sense of freedom, of space.
Great spot with stunning views of Tower Bridge and the London skyline! The best part is that entry is free, but be prepared for a long wait—over 45 minutes in my case. Also, keep in mind that it closes quite early at 6 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. Despite the wait, it’s definitely worth a visit for the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views.
Very nice option to have a 360 view of the city. Not as high as the sky garden, but this one is free and no reservations needed. You just go and stay in line and wait for your turn to go up. Apparently there's a bar on the floor below the garden, but I didn't realize that until after I had left. Very nice view, definitely recommend going after sunset, to see all the city lights. It was a very enjoyable experience.
It’s amazing that the terrace on the rooftop is free entry! However, there might be a long queue for the entrance exactly for this reason You can have a great view of London from the rooftop if you’re lucky and the weather is not too foggy. The sky was a little bit white and gray when we’re there but I’m sure it would look much better on a sunny day By the way, I also loved the 3D demonstration of puppy flowers on the ceiling in the entrance!
