Clissold Park in Stoke Newington is one of those rare London spaces that manages to feel both lively and peaceful at the same time. The location is ideal, just off bustling Church Street, but once you step inside, the noise of the city melts away into stretches of green lawns, tall trees, and winding paths. The park is alive with wildlife — from swans and ducks gliding across the lakes to the charming deer and goats in their enclosures, and even the occasional bat at dusk. It’s a place where you can wander without hurry, pause by the water, or simply sit under the trees and watch the world go by.nnWhat makes Clissold Park even more inviting is the mix of things to do. The café in Clissold House is a lovely stop for coffee or lunch, while the wide open spaces are perfect for a picnic spread with friends. Families flock to the splash pad in summer, while skaters head to the bowls in the skatepark for tricks and smooth rides. Whether you’re after a stroll, a wildlife encounter, a lazy afternoon with food on the grass, or something more energetic like skating, Clissold balances it all beautifully — a true community park with something for everyone.
This park offers a wonderful environment for a variety of activities. It is an ideal destination for a leisurely walk or an invigorating run. You can also find it a perfect spot for relaxing with friends. Families with children will particularly appreciate the space available for them to enjoy. A charming small zoo is located within the park's grounds. Additionally, a convenient coffee shop is available for refreshments. It truly provides a well-rounded experience for all visitors. This establishment is a truly remarkable public space.
Had a lovely picnic. There is a lovely quaint coffee shop, toilets, park, water park, and lots of animals to see. The only downfall is a lack of parking!
A fantastic park complete with deer, ducks, birds, swans and even turtles! Clissold Park is a great place for walking, and Clissold House itself is a beautiful Georgian building which contains a cafe and toilets. A great place to come to relax and stroll.
This park is such a life saver. It's clean, big, local, easy to get too, has restrooms, bins painted with cow pattern. It's great for a little stroll with your family and many many dogs. It’s a great park for mental health and going in a stroll with friends family or even by yourself.nnFor children they will be entertained by the park or the splash pad book online which is free and the kids love it.nnWe saw some wildlife inside the park in a gated section where we saw a goat, deers and birds. I felt very safe in this park. There was plenty of green fields to sit for a picnic and to rest. A good idea would be to grab a pastry from the local cafes and come here to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. The park is very big, even though there were many people here during the summer you are still able to find a spot to call yours. The huge trees offer shade and breeze which is lovely and the area is very nice. There are benches located all around and they gave a small cafe here too. You can see many people from all ages enjoy this park. We went during the evening and the sky was beautiful and breezy. Definitely recommend for a day out of even a date.
