What a cracking little bar this is! We visited yesterday & returned twice! We were having a little explore of the Hackney craft scene but kept coming back here! Some lovely beers on tap from both brewers & a very extensive fridge/can selection. Friendly staff. On our final visit we ordered Pizza from 'Yard Sale' which they have paired up with & a pizza & garlic bread was delivered within 15 minutes free delivery. There is loads of seating inside & quite a few benches out front which never quite get in the sun!. I am sure we shall return here again.
Coming from a big craft beer nerd, this is my favourite craft beer place in London. A really chill atmosphere, with very friendly staff and, most importantly, an awesome selection of rotating draft and bottled / canned beer at reasonable prices! Can’t recommend The Experiment enough for anyone with even a passing interest in craft beer.
Wouldn't have expected to see an outlet for Cornwall's Verdant in the middle of Hackney, but teaming up with London's Pressure Drop to open a taproom was a nice idea. A predictably great beer range and a nice little space under the railway arches. I visited on a quiet Wednesday early evening but I'm sure there's more of an atmosphere at weekends with the various outlets round here all open. Hidden away down an alley but only minutes from Hackney Central, so well worth seeking out.
Railway Arch Brewery Tap. So far so Eat London. But you get *two* for price of one. Pressure Drop from London & Verdant from Kernow. Well stocked can fridge too.
This collaboration between Pressure Drop and Verdant continues to be the best craft beer bar in London as far as I am concerned. Consistently great tap lists esp if you love the hazy stuff, with occasional guest collabs. Indoor and outdoor seating and you can order Yard Sale pizza to your table. Always good music playing but at a reasonable volume so you can have a good conversation. Clean toilets and friendly staff. You can also buy cans to takeaway. I would love it if they did an occasional pub quiz - the big open railway arch space would be ideal for it.. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance and disabled toilet on premises. Low tables available.
Love this place. Great selection of beer on tap and in fridge.Food: 5/5
Great bar, seems that new beers rotate in weekly so always something to try, with a focus on modern pale ales, IPAs, and usually an interesting stout or porter. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially Katarina. Relaxed bierhalle atmosphere.
For what it is a shared brewery taproom in a railway arch, you can't really fault the place. Nice selection from both Verdant and Pressure Drop on the keg lines, and a huge range of cans. Prices are just about as good as you'll find for these beers. Draft offerings sold in all measures, including 1/3, which is always nice. Friendly staff. One mild grievance is that the draft lineup can sometimes focus pretty heavily on hazy pale/IPA/DIPA offerings indeed, on my last visit, it was only hazy hops on tap, but beer geeks have only themselves to blame for that. At any rate, there are other styles available in can. A must-visit beer stop in Hackney, if you ask me.
Joint venture between two mates, two brewery’s, Pressure Drop and Verdant. I had a 2/3 no pints here of Open House £4.90, zesty and tropical, really liked it. Cool vibes and I imagine would be great fun when packed on an evening. Check it out. Goes without saying, good accessibility situated under railway arch with disabled toilet.
Excellent little place. Limited selection but excellent beers from both companies along with a pretty great can/bottle selection. Prices are the best I've seen for these beers and taste really fresh. Well worth calling if you are nearby or a fan of these breweries.
