Story

Hackney Central is a station on the North London Line in the district of Hackney Central, East London. It is between (to the west) and (to the east), in Travelcard Zone 2. The station and all trains serving it are operated by National Rail London Overground services under the control of the London Rail division of Transport for London, however there is no standard red National Rail "double arrow" logo signage located at the station, instead only the Overground roundel. The station is connected to with a direct passenger walkway linking the two stations (replacing an earlier such link) that was opened in July 2015. This walkway means passengers do not have to exit on to the street in order to continue their onward journey.HistoryThe North London Railway opened a station named Hackney on 26 September 1850, to the east of Mare Street. It closed on 1 December 1870 and was replaced the same day by a station to the west of Mare Street, designed by Edwin Henry Horne and also named Hackney. This station passed in due course to the London and North Western Railway and later on to the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, which closed the entire North London Line east of Dalston Junction to passenger traffic in 1944.

Giving this place a 5* for their excellent Covid measures. Saw a gig and it felt really safe, separate little tables for 2, app based table service, sold out but not crowded. Bar downstairs also good, with exceptional customer service.
Friendly staff who let us poach a reserved table for our group, much appreciated! We've used this as a meet up point several times and Oslo never disappoints. Fun decor and very nice outdoor seating area.
Good music, nice vibes and decent priced drinks. We went on a Saturday night. Entry was £7, spirit/mixer and beers were £4-4.50 each. The upstairs had a more dance-y atmosphere and downstairs was more chilled. Good DJ and there were no knob heads. Will definitely visit again.
Staff were extremely nice to us, and we felt like covid precautions were taken seriously and enforced, but with good humour.
Great vibe, upstairs is great intimate feel for gigs, pretty pricey beers but a good night out
Just ok food, ok ambience. Not too bad if you're there and need to grab a bite
Great place to have couple of drınks and go to a gig!
Lovely space, great drinks and food, staff welcoming and friendly!
