Dalston Roof Park

About

Dalston’s only rooftop venue & community space!

All profits go to Bootstrap's charitable aims.

Story

* Open for selected dates this winter

Nestled amongst Hackney’s Victorian buildings and overlooking London’s skyscrapers, Dalston’s only rooftop venue is an opportunity to relax, eat, drink, dance and see the London landscape differently.

Framed by the city skyline, our rooftop oasis transforms what was once forgotten space into a music venue / garden, plushly turfed and brimming with flowers, palm tree's and a Martin Audio Soundsystem!

Newly refurbished for 2017, DRP boasts two bars, in house catering, a state of the art retractable roofing system (to protect against bad weather) and so much more!

We want our park to be used and enjoyed by everybody. We actively encourage young people to engage in the garden, and events - if this sounds like you - get in touch. We'd love to hear from any budding gardeners, photographers, painters, DJ's, Promoters and more!

Nice venue for drinks and chatting, but the speakers were garbage. The chips from the Greek place were overpriced - £5.50 for some standard canteen chips with a drizzle of sauce on top. Wraps looked better but didn't try. Awful toilets, most of them out of order so huge queues, and the sink was blocked. Super friendly crowd, nice games to play. Good beer. Not wheelchair accessible.
I purchased tickets to yesterday’s music event at this venue months ago and the security have made it a horrible experience. They decided to not let me in because of traces of weed and tobacco at the bottom of my bag.. after being thoroughly searched they haven’t found anything on me since I didn’t have anything. The head of the security called Simon, was extremely rude and didn’t care about the fact that I haven’t had any drugs on me and treated me like some sort of drug dealer at the entrance and refused entry. I understand that there is zero drug policy although other people, including my friends weren’t searched almost at all therefore I believe there must have been a different issue, possibly some sort of discrimination towards me which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Amazing night and charity event location fantasticFood: 4/5
Regular at the rooftop, bouncer has a terrible attitude and unnecessarily rude. This is how you lose clientele by hiring incompetent members which reflect poorly on everyone else. Didn’t go up went to speakeasy instead next door.
Do not watch the Euros football here, you have to stand unless you pay extra for a table, it’s not outside on the rooftop it’s in a warehouse building next to it. Got there at 6 and the place wasn’t even open, when they eventually let us in the didn’t even have the Denmark game on the screens, they were just showing adverts. We left before KO and went to The Speakeasy, round the corner which was so much better.
This was a really impressive space. The trek up the stairs took a little bit of work, but once up on the roof it's a great space. Will be lovely in the summer when it's fully opened up. I imagine it gets quite busy on nice days, but it's a relatively large space so I expect it can accommodate a lot. There also seems to be a linked venue space, which may provide for overflow from the main roof park bar. The bar was dog friendly, though getting our dog upstairs to the top without a lift took effort and patience. They were showing sport on screens when we were there during the six Nations, but it was not overpowering. Definitely would recommend and hope to go back soon once it's sunny.
Went to the for the fans event at Dalston roofpark and all I can say is do not go there!! Not only was the service incredibly poor, but they actually committed a criminal offence by charging more for beer than the price advertised on the menu because ‘that’s what the machine says it is’. Waste of money waste of time.Food: 1/5
I was looking for something to do for my birthday & I Went to Summer in Shoreditch Day Party. I found the event on What’s The Motive on Instagram. That was one of my best nights out! Will definitely return to their event here!
only reason it’s 2 stars is because the venue closed early for an event that was supposed to be open till 11pm. The venue shut down the event around 9:30pm and told us all to leave the building immediately. It was my first time coming to this venue and now l’ll not be wasting my time to come here again. The event was “RumFest - Bank Holiday” on 26th May 2024. Food was good only ordered fries. The security ppl were friendly.
Went here for England’s Euro 2024 opener against Serbia but was poorly organised and misleading as it wasn’t on the roof. Just in a super hot derelict industrial level with no outside area or ventilation. Atmosphere was lacking, no seating and only warm Red Stripe 440ml for £6.40. Would go elsewhere for football games unless you want to spend £40 on being a “VIP”
