Some rooms have a wonderful River view. Very central place in Bedford. Close to bus station and shopping centre. Breakfasts are wonderful. Try American breakfast here! , Staffs are very nice and helpful. Good variety of drinks. Prices are fair and reasonable. Very good place for gathering.

Having had several breakfasts here I thought I’d try out the evening menu. I chose the beef rump from the specials - it comes in pink or well done - I think I had half and half! It wasn’t described as roast beef but that’s essentially what it was with vegetables. Service was good, pleasant and friendly as I’ve come to expect. The deserts were good with one in our group having the rhubarb and custard cheesecake and I had the warm Yorkshire Parkin, Butterscotch Sauce & Clotted Cream - similar to sticky toffee pudding but different of course! Good place for a relaxed evening out.

Worst experience after 2 years knowing this place for me, especially i was looking forward to some nice food. Arrived at 11.10am and got told breakfast was finished though on the menu it said breakfast is served until 11 30, then i could not order any food until when the kitchen opens at 12. Staff was not in anyway apologetic or friendly (not even a smile even). Basically i just got told what and when the kitchen will take order, not a single consideration on customer need. I will not return there for a while, very disappointed.

Beautiful views all around. There’s a lot of pubs, cafes, hotels and many more beside river. The Embankment in Bedford is really central same like Thames in London. Love to have a walk n get my brunch there whenever i go to Bedford and enjoy the water sports there.

Had a lovely lunch here, food is fresh. Not too pricey but you pay for what you get. Variety of foods, so something for everyone. Gorgeous inside, nice views of the river too. Staff are very friendly. They do breakfast as well, cook to order. Will go again next time I'm in Bedford.
