Really great place to stay, friendly welcome helpfully staff. Big room, massive bed. Powerful shower and extremely clean. Spa pool was great for a rainy afternoon after a long walk along the river. Well presented food and even the breakfast buffet was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Big hotel. Parking available at a cost. Restaurant is vast and beautiful. Food lovely tho took a long time to come out, a shame too as there were only 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. The location of the hotel is beautiful,right along the river. Room was OK. A bit dated, carpet seen better days and air con not working. No water in the room, tho a fridge is available. Plenty to do in Bedford, we would stay here again. And take advantage of the pool next time!

My husband and I had a day off from the kids so booked a spa and afternoon tea. I can not fault the staff they were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us but the spa was run down, only one shower and it was not working properly, pool have dirty tissues on the floor, non of the lockers locked, the changing room doors either did not shut or did not lock and there was not toilets you had to go back in to the hotel in front of all the guests and staff to go for a wee. The treatment rooms were very nice, very peaceful and again the staff were lovely could not fault them, it would just be nice that the spa and treatments were in one place, as you spend half your time getting dressed and un dressed. Afternoon tea was lovely, everything you would hope for, cakes, sandwiches and coffee but at £20 per head it expensive. And unfortunately the whole place was very cold so most people had to wear there coats, need to crank up the heating another 15 degrees or so. Parking was good, wheelchair friendly, very clean, excellent staff, would I go back so not sure.

Great location.. old style interior decoration which is fantastic... rooms are big enough and not that much costly. Staff behaviour is great...

Staff were lovely and always willing to assist in any way they could, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would say that I'd definitely be coming back very soon. Fantastic value for the room I stayed in. This hotel has a great range of facilities, including spa treatments and a pool, as well as offering a full continental breakfast and high tea available.
