Lovely hotel in the town centre of bedford. A little awkward to get to around the one way system. Limited parking but enough if no weddings are on. Staff well presented and courteous. Rooms and interior decor are beautiful. Food was excellent from the brasserie. Only fault.. Get rid of the fake plastic palm trees in the brasserie really spoils the character along with the high tables or make the chairs taller. Great place and service all round.
The afternoon tea at the Swan hotel was a good experience. The food was very rich and complimented by some good team options. The service was also good. The staff had all been very welcoming and friendly. Happy and attentive from the get go from the welcome desk.
The Swan Hotel has always been a local icon of the town. A cut above the rest in terms of style and offering. Have used the thermal spa a few times now and it's always been lovely and relaxing! As far as spas go, it's not as elaborate as others in the wider area no treatments, for example, but I think it does 'the basics' really well. A lovely, modern and looked-after vibe, and drinks served so you can really sit back and relax with a glass of bubbles. Also don't think the price is too bad, and it's a great idea if you want a short relax on a day off! I went on December 23rd, and it was the perfect wind down to Christmas, a really luxurious-feeling treat!nnThey have booking slots which is easy to use on their website. A good feature to have might be to show the numbers that are booked in for each session, so you can pick and choose to go at a quieter/busier time. Appreciate that might be hard to monitor, but think that might benefit some who are looking for a slot that is going to be super quiet! There's no way of knowing until you get there.

It's been a long time since I've had the privilege of staying in such a well run and beautifully appointed hotel.nFrom the moment I arrived in the sumptuously styled reception to departing .The venue ,the team, the quality was beyond superb .nEnjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant the meal was devine and delicious.nThe rooms goodness me knocks the spots off other hotels I stayed in ..nSpotlessly clean really comfortable super clean bathroom.nReally restores your faith in how amazing smaller independent hotel chains .
Today we went for the vitality spa! We booked last night for 10:30 the next morning and we were more than pleased! The facilities were excellent and stylish. Provided towel, robe , Shampoo,conditioner and shower gel supplied. The spa was lovely and clean. The Steam lounge was my favourite and the sauna and traditional steam room were also on point. The pool although small still is great and really enjoys the jets for the back and shoulders. Seeting area was cozy and clean and a great place to chill! We went for afternoon tea after they had excellent great staff and yummy food! We can’t wait to go to restaurant next time! Would definitely recommend and for the price you really can’t go wrong!!!
