The fillet cut steak here was the best I've had - by a large margin! I loved being able to cook to my own liking using the hot plate at the table. The side portion of chips and salad were also very nice. The restaurant itself is situated above the Edith Cavell pub. It's quite small, probably 20 seats or so but feels more like an exclusive restaurant rather than just small. Decor is simple, lots of wood, clean. The staff here were very friendly. Prices a little on the high side, but a nice treat ever so often. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Great prices, delicious meat and good service. Our waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. The tomahawk was delicious. It is a steak house so pretty smoky instaed but nothing over the top.

My husband and I ate here tonight, a birthday treat for him as he loves steak! I'm vegetarian, but saw they had a veggie choice so no problem, I don't mind others eating meat around me. I have to point out, my halloumi burger was very good, but neither of us enjoyed how smokey the small room quickly became, with all tables having sizzling steaks served. It was a freezing night, but one table quite rightly opened the window to try and clear the fog. My husband did enjoy his steak, but would have preferred not to cook it himself in order to save the stench. We left straight after finishing, both with stinging eyes. I know it's a "fashion" type fad, and makes me feel ancient to say it, but neither of us enjoyed the experience. Now we're home I've had to shower, and put every item of clothing we both wore in the wash. Not sure how to get rid of the smell on my winter coat though. I'd really not want to return because of this.

Booked for our team Christmas meal, the venue is in a perfect location in the heart of Norwich. Welcomed upstairs by our friendly server, we were shown to our table. There are two USP's to eating here. The first is meat. Lots of meat with a great choice of cuts. The second USP is that it all comes on a red hot stone so you can choose how well you like your meat cooked. However, there is a significant downside; with all of the meat sizzling away on the hot stones, a significant amount of cooking smoke fills the entire room. And being winter with all of the windows closed, it could get a bit overwhelming at times. (Waking up the next morning, our entire hotel rooms stunk of cooking as did our clothes). But don't let the smoke put you off as the service was excellent, and the choice of beer & wines was particularly good. The food was good enough that I will probably be tempted back. Although I fervently hope that they can install some decent HVAC to suck all the cooking fumes out of the restaurant.
