A wonderful little hidden gem on the outskirts of Hanley. A museum dedicated to one of the lesser known pottery families, The Dudson family had a pottery factory for almost 6 generations and were key to some the greatest innovations within the pottery world. Well worth a visit, great museum, great cafe too.
We went to the Dudson pottery museum today. When we arrived there wasn't anyone on the reception so we had a walk around and all the doors were locked and there wasn't any one around so we came back out. What a waste of a journey. We saw it advertised on the Internet so thought we'd have a look if they are going to say they are open they need to get some staff. Neil Wood
The museum is different than others with it being in a bottle kiln, which is great in itself. It’s small but quirky. The staff are lovely and very informative and approachable throughout the museum and cafe. The cafe has a some good choices for dinner and at great prices, with some lovely cake slices available throughout the week!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
