An interesting tour - you get entrance to the heritage centre as part of this. You’re up next to workers as they work and this is amazing. They’re very skilled and happy to have you watch. Fun factory shop with plenty of seconds which pleases the thrifty side of me. It’s a traditional factory and you can explore the social history of the area with your tour guide who was happy to answer the group’s questions. A reasonably priced cafe is on site.

I came with a friend to visit these famous pottery factories in Stoke-on-Trent. I really loved it. We wanted a traditional afternoon tea but it was soon for closing, however they did their best to serve us a wonderful traditional Afternoon Tea with this fantastic crockery. I really enjoyed it! Becky and Charlotte were so helpful to serve us at the end. Really courteous waitresses. Food was delicious and the Earl Grey tea too. Beautiful views and splendid decoration. The shop is amazing, if you can buy a tea set DO IT! Extraordinary...

A superb venue in Stoke-on-Trent that adds much to the city. Provides an insight into the history of the Potteries, you can see a working factory and the original workings of the old potbank, the shop sells some lovely items and the cafe does wonderful yet simple food and afternoon cream teas. Very up and coming, running events and school activities regularly. Saw on our last visit they have opened a clay college there. Beautiful walks on the surrounding canals also add to any visit to Middleport Pottery.

Hired the big room for a ladies crafting birthday party. Was fabulous sized room with great tables but if you are having food they like you to order the buffet from the coffee shop on site which was 'ok' but not at all generous. Tea and coffee was also provided. There is so much more you can do there tho. Well worth a visit. Yearly Family passes are available, pottery lessons, museum and talks.

Absolutely loved seeing a working factory and our tour guide was fantastic; knowledgeable and passionate! I can't remember her name unfortunately but she was fab! Highly recommend!
