This was a superb museum to visit, demonstrating the industrial history of Staffordshire! The museum shows the old pottery and the products it was used for, depicting the settings where this would be done and the era's streets in certain rooms too. Fighter planes and their engines add more to the industrial side, whereas the stuffed animals show the area's natural history!
We had a good trip to this museum on a Friday during May half term. The place was quiet and there is a lot to see if you are a fan of pottery and other stuffs. Parking was initially a challenge the metered street parking is a No No We finally found a good parking close by at a reasonable price. See pictures.
The museum is free, donations are welcome. A shop inside the museum with a huge selection of merchandise. You can spend a few hours going round all the halls, very interesting for all ages
Visited this museum on 27 April 2024. Entry is free and the lower ground floor has a cafe. Friendly staff and the entire museum is self explanatory. You will get to see the history of Staffordshire coal mines , early industry. Worth visiting in weekend
A lovely museum where I spent a couple of hours with my parents. Definitely somewhere I will return to with my 6 year old son, seeing as it's free entrance and has a little picnic area downstairs in the cafe, so you can take your own food.
