An interesting place for kids or adults. Apart from collections there are often activities/events to entertain and educate. The shop is especially useful for unusual gift ideas, even clothes. A creative centre for locals and visitors alike. The cafe needs to upgrade it's menu and provide better coffee. Rather behind times as most cities museums offer very good food etc.

A brilliant local museum I've visited since I was very young. Stand out exhibits are always the full size spitfire (out for refurb at time of writing) and the wild animals. Look out for the domestic cat. A source of laughter in my family every time we see it

I've rated this as OK, simply because I feel it needs a good injection of money. The gift shop needs remerchandising as its half empty. The ground level had some interesting local history and some bits from the Staffordshire hoard which I enjoyed. A lot of pottery, which is a given in the potteries. It just lacked a flow to each section and we bumbled around not know which way to go. Hopefully this is taken as constructive as I'm not being negative as I always like going here.
