Story

We pride our self in our friendly welcoming atmosphere.
We have just recently renovated our main bedrooms.

We offer delicious Bar Meals at very reasonable prices.

Come join in our Poker Night on a Thursday from 7pm,
Quiz night from 9pm on a Friday, or if your looking for a really good night out our Party Night on a Saturday.
We have the hair off The Dug Club on a Sunday where you can purchase a All Day Breakfasts for just £6 or why not try our Big Yin for £7.95.

Stayed here during the MTB off season which meant that our group of 6 had the acommodation building to ourselves. We had an absolute blast biking on the local trails, and having the Tweedside Hotel to come back to just crowned the experience! The accommodation was spacious, tidy, warm. The beds were comfortable and clean towels and toiletries were provided for each guest. The toilets were clean and well stocked, and the showers were hot and powerful. Exactly what you need to power wash the dirt off after a day on the trails! There is no kitchen facility, but we managed alright anyway, as we either made sandwiches on the table in the communal area, or used one of the great takeaway restaurants in the town. The communal area is large and welcoming, featuring 3 big, comfortable leather sofas, as well as tables and coffee tables. It was absolutely perfect to come back to and discuss the days riding over a few beers. There is also a big widescreen TV with a HDMI connection for plugging your laptop in and sticking on some MTB DVD's. Score!! We also went down to the Tweedside Hotel's pub downstairs, and had great fun chatting bar staff and the locals, drinking fresh tasty pints and generally having the craic. The accommodation staff were excellent, and showed us how everything worked upon arrival, and provided us with a contact number to call them if there were any problems, but thankfully we didn't need to. We paid a very keen rate to stay here for two nights. The accommodation is not fancy, but honestly it far exceeded our requirements and at the price we paid, it was the bargain of the year! I cannot recommend the Tweedside Hotel enough for bikers looking for a great quality place to relax, socialise and get a good rest for the next day's riding.

Good honest hotel. Has had a lot of renovation and upgrading this last year. Lovely landlady Tina will Always try to accommodate any special requirements. Good pub grub in a real warm friendly atmosphere. Bar staff have a big smile and a hello as soon as you walk in the bar. It's a gem of a place to spend a weekend away from city life and rat race.

With a small town atmosphere and a fantastic selection of gin, this is the place to grab a drink in town. The staff is friendly, the music was top notch and the food was delicious and cheap. The options for vegetarians were delicious and price conscious. Plus all the fine Gina were 3£ a shot! Well worth the stop.

Amazing drink prices and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We ordered veggie burgers and were delighted to hear that the owner made them for us herself - from scratch - upon order. They were delicious! We had plenty of great company while we were there from this family run establishment and locals who make this bar one of their favorite haunts. Would definitely return, made us feel right at home.
