Five of us met here for dinner on a Monday evening. There were only a handful of other tables occupied which didn't add much to the ambiance - but I suspect that later in the week it will probably be buzzing. The service was very good and at an appropriate level. Our shared starter was a small cheese pizza which was slightly over salted for my taste. I had fish and chips which was served in a generous portion - indeed there was more than I could manage. It was marginally over cooked however. When the bill arrived it wasn't too expensive, in fact I would rate it as good value. The reasons for the 4 stars? We had a perfectly pleasant evening, but the food was not excellent. Nevertheless, I would still recommend that you give Herges a try.

Food is very good and staff are pleasant and attentive. Sadly less than 12 customers so not exactly a busy and buzzing place to go out for an evening. Place for early diners as it closes at 9 pm

Could not fault the meal, all four of us made different choices and all were delighted. A genuinely good meal served by very friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back!

Lovely place, sit on the edge of the park, drinking good coffee or having a meal. While watching the swans and ducks on the loch through the glass fronted resturant. Food good, and although the staff are lovely they always seem to be short staffed.

Nice wee place with good standard of food and friendly staff. Lovely view of the swans and dog walkers.
