Lovely staff, warm welcome. But i have to say the food wasn't up to it at all. We stopped off for lunch and ordered the curry/rice, mushroom stroganoff and chips. Well below average. Sorry guys - maybe just the chef having an off day!?

Superb stop over. Ideally placed for a mix of super days out. 
Comfortable rooms. Great hosts offering great food and beverages for the traveller. 

December 2017. Back again. What can I say but ditto all the above. 
Back in room 2 by our request. Only initial worry was the warmth if the room as this time we are in the depth of winter with outside temperatures around -5°  
Can only say the New landlords have been more than accommodating. Including a lift into town due to a lack of taxis in the area. 
We'll be back.

We have been today for mothers day lunch. There was 14 of us and couldn't of asked for better. The service was fab and the food was amazing. I will be back for another Sunday lunch soon.

(Duke of Wellington). Good ales. Could do with a few more smiles from the barmaid/landlady but otherwise it's a great pub.
