Great beer. Landlord appeared a little moody. Maybe having a bad day. Good for calling in if your on the coast to coast. Will give it another try in a few weeks while passing.

Unfriendly place. Has so much potential but sadly missed.

On tour some time ago we enjoyed a tasty lunch there, but upon return a few months later the place was boarded-up. A villager told us that the landlord was on the run, hounded out of town. Sadly we had to tolerate second best elsewhere.

It was closed for the winter but the website didn't say it was. Nevermind.

Camped here and felt very unwelcome and unwanted... It was a bizarre experience given that place relies on hikers for business.
