Upon entering the pub was rammed. Unlike anything I’ve seen in a long long time. It was loud, it was busy, it was Joe pubs used to be. We had booked a table to find with family and having never been before I did wonder how on earth we were going to converse in such a busy establishment. A lovely young lady wove her way through the crowds to the more peaceful restaurant at the back. Calm was restored, we could hear ourselves think. The three female staff that served us were helpful, quietly observing as they went about their duties. Glasses cleared away, drinks replenished meals brought and cleared away with no fuss. One of our party was gluten free and that was dealt with and alternatives offered. Delicious food as as the evening wore on the pub itself quietened down. It’s good to see a pub thriving. Keep up the good work.

My mum and I popped into The Cormorant Pub for lunch yesterday and we were so glad that we did. We ordered some sandwiches which were really tasty, came well presented and were good value for money. The service was excellent; huge thanks to Sara who was friendly, accommodating and very professional towards us. The pub itself is really nicely decorated and had a nice warm atmosphere inside. Everyone was friendly and the toilets were also decorated nicely. I would definitely recommend coming here for a visit and will be sure to visit again sometime. 5 stars.
Great Pub food with excellent specials board. Service is great. Staff are always friendly. Dog and children friendly. Always Very clean and tidy, brand new outdoor seated shelter built and looks amazing. My only small issue is no customer Internet as the phone reception is very poor in the area.Food: 5/5
Nice Pub in a lovely area. Food was a bit hot and miss. Had a special of short ribs x2 both were tuff and chewy and not really well seasoned and the kimchi served was rather bland. However the burgers served were both good as were the starters. Service lovely!Food: 3/5
The lady dealing with the reservations at the front door was friendly, professional and accommodating. It was very busy for a Monday afternoon but the staff dealt with the volume efficiently without undue delays, I ordered a burger which came with the usual accompaniments and was perfectly fine for a pub menu. I would recommend this friendly atmospheric English pub.
First visit to this pub for a lunchtime meal for 3. Excellent service from staff who brought a bowl of water and a couple of scooby snacks for our dog. The food was very good and much better than run of the mill pub food. Great selection of beers. Will definitely return.Food: 5/5
Very good fish and chips course, abundant and tasty. Staff is extremely friendly and always smiling. The service was quite fast, also very attentive. I tried also the chocolate fudge cake, with the ice-cream, it was quite big! The atmosphere of the plce is quiet and cozy, it is possible to eat inside or even outside today it was quite windy, so I decided to have a table inside. Prices are resonable and this place has a good quality price ratio. Overall a very good experience!
A lovely traditional pub with a superb selection of 5 good ales on tap. The menu is superb and reasonably priced. The location is superb. One of the highlights was the staff, so lovely to see a group of young staff so well trained and so good at their job. A lovely visit. Good vegan and veggie options too.
