We were out on a walk. A short walk along the England Coast path and Castle in the Air was a good culminating activity We did about 10,000 steps that day Situated near the Fareham marina, Castle in the Air had a very homey feel and touch to the place. Not a lot of people when we visited but they got busy during that time too as it was the day after Christmas. We had a pint of guinnes each and just to help with my mood, i tried their salt beef and cheddar toastie. It was AMAZING! I had it with fries and it was perfectly seasoned with flaky sea salt. It was served with a side salad and its beautiful dressing. It was a sourdough toastie that gave a lovely crust and held its contents together -- not soggy at all. The cheddar was melting and thr richness was balanced with pickled red onions. Perfect pair for my guinnes I believe. Lovely staff, good portion sizes. I look forward to walkies. now I know castle in the air is my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As someone who isn’t particularly a roast dinner girl, when I fancy one the first place I go to would be the castle in the air. It’s always busy and thriving on a Sunday and it’s nice that the staff will do their upmost to fit you in. Highly recommend. Thanks Castle team!
Live this pub, super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere however our food was very disappointing. We ordered the veggie beyond burger and which was over £10. Tiny bun , tiny burger, chips weren't great, no side salad, just pretty poor and terrible value.
Come in here most weeks, sometimes with my Son who has special needs. Especially likes their chips. Came in today and no chef so couldn't do his chips. They got the fryer on and made them especially for him. thank u.
Good, proper pub..... Great value food, and friendly service. Maybe not restaurant quality food, but good honest food at a great price. Much better than a weatherspoons, and the team are great
Had the most amazing evening at The Castle in Air, incredible and smiley service and super delicious pub food! The pie's are incredible and would 100% recommend! They had live music on which was super fun and made a great atmosphere, second trip and will absolutely be coming back! :
Cassel In The Air is a nice welcoming atmosphere with lovely staff and customers alike. Josh at the bar was friendly and has a great, light and bubbly personality! My friends and friends family come here alot and we all love the live music!
Very friendly staff. Good selection of food and drink and excellent value for money. Quiet 'off the beaten track' location.
Absolutely brilliant pub, the food is amazing. Spent a lazy Saturday afternoon in here with the wife, playing dominoes, eating and drinking beers, staff are super friendly
Let us stay in the car park in our small campervan, Brilliant food, drink and staff. Highly recommended and will be back when we are that way again.
