My husband ordered “breaded” Katsu Curry, received curried Dog food instead this is how it’s been boxed. The lady at the bar platinum blonde hair won’t change it, and asked us to pay more if wanting a breaded one. She was very rude and argumentative. We love the crown, but not coming back if this member of staff is on. Food: 1/5
It's the usual offer. Very popular and competitively priced food and drinkService: 4/5
Lucy, the landlady of The Crown Inn, With her team of waitresses, all pretty and thin. They serve up drinks with a smile and a wink, Their customer service is always in sync. In their aprons and trays, they glide through the pub, Making sure everyone has a drink in their club. With laughter and banter, they light up the room, Their service is more like a dance than a zoom. So raise your glass to Lucy and her crew, The best in the business, that much is true. At The Crown Inn, they always shine, Their service is top-notch, like a fine wine A stop off for oldies and shoppers round town it’s the best Wetherspoons They win it hands down!
Visited on a Monday lunch time, very busy. On my own so found a table at the window with a view of the high street. Food came quickly and was the standard you expect from a wetherspoon pub. The bar was clean and bright and the staff were friendly. A lot of tables in a smaller space.Food: 4/5
The better of the two spoons in Fare IMO. A former pub/inn judging by the interesting interior architecture. I had a local ale see photos following the popularity of it from the regular customers. Would like to return and appreciate the impressive frontage as well as the food. Sociable staff, too
Great menu, cheap as chips, if your strapped for cash then head here for a cheap night out. Very busy, and popular with locals. Additional seating outside available in summer months. Vegetarian options: Have a Vegetarian and Vegan menu
The real deal English pub. Beautiful, clean, tasty and filling food. Fair price.Food: 5/5
Can’t give a review, since we were ejected because we had the temerity to come with a dog. Despite no signs at the entrances or advice on the website to advise that no dogs are not allowed.
Lovely pub in the middle of the highstreet to have a drink at. The food can be good but there are times that it is not the best. The staff are lovely and service is ok. It can be busy on the weekends but overall the atmosphere is excellent here and very pleasant. Plus there is a gorgeous view when sitting out the front. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options on the menu Dietary restrictions: Many options on the menu to choice from and you can swap some items for others.
Came in for breakfast, arrived barely lukewarm and one egg looked inedible. I asked for another egg, my plate wasn't taken away, the other egg arrived by which time the rest of it was even colder. I got a refund and went elsewhere. Not a good experience
