Update 03/02: We had a really lovely time eating in here, staff were attentive, food was lovely and it was a chilled atmosphere. Very kind gesture from the manager - thank you! Would dine here again!nn27/01 We ordered the Big Breakfast and Big Veggie Breakfast via Uber Eats and this was the most disappointing experience in its entirety. Missing tomatoes, baked beans, an egg, 1 veggie sausage, diced potatoes and the two teas were missing. Whilst we can overlook missing items as Uber Eats are good at resolving these issues, it would have been ok if the food tasted good. The veggie sausages were hard and inedible and the eggs and bacon were/and tasted burnt. Shambles.
Burgers we ordered were meant to be “juicy, beef burger, bacon, garlic mayo with buttermilk chicken and a side of onion rings and macaroni cheese”nnWe received dry chicken breast with breaded chicken, no rings and the Mac and cheese looked 3 days old and tasted alike.nnThey sorted the issue with the burger out but there was no bacon or garlic mayo…at this point we were too hunger to flag the bloke down. He handed a piping hot plate obviously straight from the microwave to my partner without saying anything and she’s burnt her hand. The bloke also put a piping hot bowl in front of my child and I had to grab it before he burnt himself. The chap who is serving needs to be trained on how to serve food and not to just dump it on the edge of the table or leaning over the entire party of people.nnAnyway, the beef burger was like a hockey puck and the garlic bread was like a damp shoe soaked in oil…nnIf i hadn’t paid on a gift card when I ordered, I wouldn’t be paying.
Overall, exceptionally poor.nOne waiter was working very hard and my burger was lovely.nBUT We were told 45 min wait for food, the time actually ranged from 70 to 90 mins. Half the food cold, half the food burnt on the same plate. I say half, but actually that's generous as it some of it was missing so we waited an additional 20 mins for missing food.
Ordered via Just Eat and order arrived wrong. Took food back to restaurant for replacement which took ages. Was assured order had been checked by Kitchen Manager and was correct but still wrong when we got home. Salad and cheese included in burgers when not asked for. Was told have to get refund through Just Eat. Cost nearly £60 Inc delivery and we had to go back ourselves anyway. Won't bother again. Have now had to raise a chargeback through our card issuer to try and get this resolved which could take months!!n13th December - we have now been told by our bank that we cannot get a refund which I don't understand steer well clear
Popped in to celebrate my husband's 40th after seeing the outdoor signs promising affordable meals. Meals were tasty and service was friendly. Thank you Sherry and Team.nnEnded up coming for lunch and then later again for dinner- deals included Kids eat for a £1, and two mains for £12.50.nnLovely seating area and atmosphere. Would recommend for an affordable treat.
