When we moved here 8 months ago  we tried all the chip shops, this was the best. And have frequented it every Friday since. But the last 4 visits have been disappointing,  the chips are somehow soggy but not properly cooked and stale?! The portions have shrunk and the sausage tastes of nothing. What's happened??Food: 3/5

This fish n chip shop is a little hidden gem. I would say that the chips are the best I've ever had from such a shop, being double-cooked, well-cooked and presented. The cod is lovely white, chunky fish surrounded by crispy batter. As for the battered haggis - it is delicious! We take ours and sit down by the Hayling Ferry at Eastney. Bliss!

Lemon slices does not come with your fish and chips, buy your own, come prepared! Chips are refried, can taste the oil, ewww. 50p per ketchup sachet, god forbid I needed more than two. :O wouldn’t recommend, will not return.Food: 1/5

Fantastic chip shop, prices are brilliant, chips are a great size, flavour is spot on. Consistency of food results is the only issue, yet we do still choose here over other chip shops, some days 10/10, others can be a 5.  Cod cakes have, on multiple occasions been burned on the bottom meaning cod inside was dry and not fluffy. Battered fish can be heavily greasy and oily, which overtakes the flavour entirely. End up removing the batter just to eat the cod. Battered sausage can be over-done.

Lovely! Easy and cheaper to call in than use apps. Nice friendly staff and nice food with a few vegetarian options! Will now be regulars.Food: 5/5

Ordered large cod and was not disappointed - it was huge!! Lovely crispy batter, not at all greasy. Fresh flaky fish. Chips were chunky and crispy. Would def order from here again!

Good sized portions but freshly cooked chips were soggy - not sure how you manage that - and curry sauce was watery and tasteless. Also a mystery how you manage that ‍Food: 3/5
