This is a really old medieval church very peaceful with many colourful windows well worth a visit.
One of the oldest surviving examples of mediaeval stained glass remaining anywhere in the UK. Old-fashioned but well executed and traditional language High Mass every Sunday evening at 5.30pm. A small but dedicated congregation - come and join them!
A quaint medieval church. Very small with some original stained glass. People can come in and play the organ, so you can pop in and hear or play some beautiful organ music in a quiet setting.
A wonderful spot - hard to believe that the stain glass has been there for over 600 years. This gem is well worth the 10 minute walk from the city centre. Note the medieval spectacles!
Fabulous place. Healthy levels of mad, but in a good Anglo-Banglo way.
Gorgeous, incredible mediaeval windows and a very peaceful atmosphere. More people should visit and contribute to the upkeep - pop in when your passing and put a quid in the box!
Has some of the best stained glass in England, and a remarkable archaeological history. Best visited on the York Residents' Weekend at the end of January excellent talks on the Saturday - check the programme, but of course you can worship there all year very, very high church.
English Missal Sung Mass - what's not to like? Beautiful and fascinating church interior,. Well worth sharing their main 5.30pm Mass when in the City of York, UK
A beautiful hidden gem in York, gorgeous church, stunning glass windows, worth a visit.
My wife and I spent a week at the church working on an archeological dig. There has been a building on the site encompassing Saxon, Roman and Norman times. It is a lovely old building oozing history and the feel of people over a thousand years.
